Run away from the units facing the fire station! ( over a year ago )

Reviewed by: Anonymous
I lived in this building for 2 years. The condo itself was OK. Units are owned by different people so your experience will differ based on your landlord. My unit had old appliances, I saw other units and only the ones that were in the market for sale had updated appliances (what is new?).
I had a 2 bedroom apt, but the kitchen is at the back of the apt in a corner where there is no light, window or air ventilation so even if you make a toast the entire apt would smell for hours, gross!
Condo is managed by a management company and they are absolutely terrible. Whenever you complain about anything the answer you get is : " You are the first person who complain about this, noone ever complained", so imagine their attentiveness.
Parking is out at the back for most people. Some units have garage parking for 1 car but most don't. There is plenty of parking so I never had an issue. Parking lot is plowed (terribly) in winter but sometimes you can not park into some places due to snow built up, imagine!
There are many middle aged to older people at building 993, in building 995 there are some subsidized units I believe. Most people at 993 are quiet, no complaints, but can not say the same about 995, some keep the music/TV blasting all day long etc. These two buildings are very close to each other so you can hear. There aren't many families. Loft style one bedrooms are extremely small, hardly enough for 1 person and there aren't many 2 beds.
Most importantly there is a fire station next door and they operate 24/7. If you live in any of the units that face that side be prepared to say goodbye to sleeping in. You will wake up at 6-7 am every morning, including weekends. If you are an early bird, no problems.
Rooms are good sized in 2 beds, but walls between rooms are like a joke, so if you are thinking to live with a roommate I do not recommend it.
Overall I give it a 3 stars, it is OK but needs improvements and the noise level is an issue for me.
