I have lived in two units at 9 Hawthorne Place over the past 3 years (the first was furnished, then I got another one - unfurnished). This place is great... manicured landscaping, very clean & safe... and very quiet (I'm on the West facing side = no road in front; there's also no road in back, but there's a parking garage in the corner back there). There's also a partial view of the Charles River (I'm on an upper floor).

I have lived in an apartment at 2 Hawthorne for the past 4 years. I have always found the Management and their administrative staff to be most helpfull and courteous. The building is not new at all but is maintained and improved to the highest levels. Even the basement and laundry room areas are spotless and equipped with state of the art equipment.
The security if anything I feel is a little over the top. Certainly I feel very safe living there. The concierge personell are for the most part extremely kind and helpfull.
Not only is it a pleasant comfortable location but the building and its apartments are extremely solid without the light weight hollw walls often found in modern buildings. It has been and I hope it continues to be a great home.
