Review for Jefferson At Dedham Station Apartments

I've lived here for about 5 months, and am absolutely sure I am not going to be renewing this lease. This place will do whatever it takes to hit you up for the extra dollar, and you'll deal with constant maintenance issues. They'll talk about the next door shopping area like it's the best thing in the world, but what is never mentioned is the nonstop construction and traffic that comes as a result. Many times it's taken 20+ minutes to get to Shaws 1/4 mile down the road as a result of the construction and traffic in the area. Additionally, the trash compactor was broken for the first couple months after we moved in, it took several months to be repaired. And, if you go down to throw out your trash and find that it's jammed, you're better off stuffing it in the jammed compactor, because if you leave it next to the door you'll get charged a $25 fine. They are also very slow to respond to maintenance requests. We needed to replace our blinds (not their fault), and paid $20 to have them replaced. It took a week before they realized we had already paid them, and once they did, they replaced them with the wrong size which isn't a big deal except that it prevents them from staying in the holders, so any attempt to open or close them causes the blinds to crash to the ground. I attempted to contact them about this after, but they ignored the email.

We chose this place as a compromise since we each liked one place and hated the place that the other liked, but I have to say, this choice was a very bad idea. The apartments themselves aren't too bad, but they're expensive, and with the constant maintenance and terrible management and service, you do not get what you pay for.
