I definitely would not recommend Jefferson, and suspect that a lot of the positive reviews are left by management or their marketing company. Look at the last one, it sounds too much like marketing speak to me. Like the other reviewer, I also have had them charge me for leaving a bag of trash next to the entrance of the broken compactor, and the best part is they told me it is a $25 fee per piece of identifying information in the bag. So, if you throw out a bag that contains 3 envelopes to identify you, it's a $75 fine. Another person I talked to said the same thing happened to them, so it seems to be a frequent event. The amenities are okay, except that the hours for the great room are inconvenient for working adults, and units near the pool area can get very loud in the summer. It seems that some tenants invite their friends and extended family over to swim, so often I'll look out and see like 15 loud young kids with only 2 or 3 adults watching them It's in Dedham, which is right next to 95 but certainly isn't the nicest of towns. The area tends to be crowded and constantly under construction, so if you have a car it's more of a hassle than a convenience. I can only see it worthwhile if you commute daily using the T and don't drive much on weekends, but otherwise the area is far from convenient.

Throw your trash out right and don't worry about being fined! I like the idea that management is doing this - maybe people like you will stop thinking you are privelaged and throw it out right! I agree with the hours of the amenities - it would be great if the clubroom was open 24 hours or until 10pm, but I knew when I moved in that they weren't so I can't complain now and neither should you. I was at the pool most of the summer and did not notice any large crowds that I did not know as my neighobors. Maybe you just haven'e taken the time to get to know all of your neighbors, there are 299 of us... Again, the construction is not new so you can't complain! I am glad it is finally over but knew what I was in for when I moved here.
