Not too happy...we will be leaving. The Rent is OUTRAGEOUS! We pay $1,900.00/month for a ONE bedroom APT ON THE PARKING LOT side (sounds as if we live in the middle of the parking lot). NOTHING is included, except we don't have to pay for trash removal, BUT it is ALWAYS full and there is only one dumpster for all 170 or so apts! If you add in water and sewer, elec, heat, cable/phone ect it's about $2,500 a month in the winter (for a ONE BEDROOM, YIKES!). They "nickle and dime" you for everything here. The units are starting to show their age too.....ie. press and stick flooring is "ghetto" the cabinets are starting to fall aprt, fixtures are out of date and cheesy, windows are starting to warp/not close or stay open properly, toilets and drains are slow and on and on ect ect.....
But here's the real reason we want out....They (building MGMT) are not respectful of privacy. They tag immature reminders and notices ON your door CONSTANTLY so when you get home after a long hard day, your greeted with as me and my husband like to call it "tree mail" (like on survivor) It's intrusive, tacky, uncalled for and chronic, not to mention impersonal.....if they need to contact us or send us something, cough up the few cents for a stamp you cheapskates!!!! sheeeeesh, God knows you charge enough for rent. Any professional couple paying over 2 G's for 1 bed doesn't want to be treated as if they live in a college DORM!!!!!!!!! Grow up!
Here's the ALARMING part........
They COME IN ALL THE TIME for BS "resons" like we need to look at water tanks this week or we are conducting inspections ect ect ect. They come in without permission, or 24 written notice and EXCESSIVLY!!!!!! If they want FULL COMPLETE ACCESS to the apartments, then they SHOULDN't be TAKING 2k from someone who just wants to live, or maybe leave their personal information on a coffe table or a personal item, or a medication out (you get the picture)
They are SO CHEAP that they have a landscape Co that is SO small time can't even cut the lawn or the entire property in one day. I bet they are saving a pretty penny because the "landscaper" is "small time" and is clearly NOT equipped to handle such a large property. As a result, you will listen to weed whackers, mowers, leaf blowers and chainsaws for 3 days straight!!!! And guess what? when the 3 days are up, it took them SO long to finish, you only get a couple of days off from noise, and the grass is tall, and the party starts all over again! YAY!!!!!
They care more about "the property" then they do the comfort of the residents. I have a personal problem with some of the outside contractors/people they hire..I would be surprised if even half of them are US citizens and do not wish to support the illegal hiring of illegal "citizens". But hey, that's how they roll here.
If you want independence, PRIVACY and to be treated like an adult then DO NOT sign a lease here, you'll regret it
and if you do decide to rent here, DON'T EVER BE MORE THAN 3 DAYS LATE with your rent, or they will "start the legal process" and contact their attorney and begin the eviction process
I was here 2 years, we were GREAT payers...I was 12 days late with explination only one time and was greeted with a 15 day notice and told that "we have to call out attorney on all 15 day notices"
