Review for Capitol Manor Apartments

I've been renting a two-bedroom apartment at Capitol Manor for almost two years now. Having rented other apartments in the downtown Lansing area, my opinion is that Capitol Manor is one of the best value-for-your-money options in the city.

Pro's:

1) Location: Extremely close to downtown - important for me, being a Cooley student.

2) Size: I have a 700+ sqft apartment to myself, for a little over half of what I was paying at other apartments in the downtown area. Although I wish the individual rooms/kitchen were larger, I have enough space for many needs: a living/dining area, a study, a bedroom, and an exercise room.

3) Cost: As I said, I paid much more for less space in other apartments in the area. I came to Lansing from out of state, not knowing much about the local rental market. My rent here has always seemed reasonable.

Con's:

1) Age of the building: It's true, it's not a luxury apartment - and it's definitely older than apartment complexes in Lansing that were built more recently/recently refurbished. But, at the same time, I've never had any problems with the place. The water, sinks, toilet, etc. have always worked just fine. It may not have the trendiest hardwood flooring, but my apartment has always met my needs comfortably.

I would definitely recommend Capitol Manor for any serious students, singles, couples, or small families looking for comfortable apartments for a decent price.
