Apartment Review for Oakbrook Apartment

The Area <P>
This was my first apartment, and the only reason Oakbrook apartments are so safe is because of their location. They're in a city where the smallest crimes are the biggest news. The crime rate for this city is very low and the police have way too much time on their hands. They're at your door before you hang up with the emergency operator. The people in the leasing office are pretty nice, sometimes they can be a little bitchy but always professional. <P>
In General <P>
The apartments need a MAKEOVER BAD! They have the ugly brown cabinets and old worn carpet in a lot of units. The matience workers take their time coming out to fix things sometimes. Although the halls are always clean someone comes out weekly to vacum and clean. The parking lots are always clean. It is a family community but there are a lot of college students who like to party, (I was one, he, he). <P>
My Unit <P>
My apartment was very FILTHY when we moved in and I ended up getting my first month free. The carpet needed to be thrown away it hadn't been cleaned and was filled with cat hair. I killed three roaches, and the bathroom floor was stained. I had to clean the carpet myself once a week for 6 weeks just to get the cat hair out. I think the people who lived there before me may have been there for a long period of time. I think they just did surface cleaning and moved us in. Other than that it was okay. <P>
