Our Review for Belcrest Apartment
Belcrest Apartments is found off of Interstate 94 by the Medical Center in downtown Detroit. Residents have access to the Detroit Amtrak with stations close by or the buses running around the area. New Center Place Shopping Center and Virginia Park Community Plaza Shopping Center are great places to shop. Leaseholders can get a drink at the Woodward Cocktail bar or the Northern Lights Lounge just across the street. Reviews claim that the apartments are great housing for graduates and undergraduates affiliated with Wayne State and is a great location to all the city entertainment, despite a bedbug problem and the run-down appearance of the building.

Dear All,
I was in this building for six months. The overall condition is good but the manager, Mike, is a fraud guy; he took away our deposited money ($775). At the time of moving from the apartment, we gave him our new address and mailed to the manager several times for our money. Always he used to say I have not your new address to send your money!!!
We are the student; do not have time to run after this guy. Please make sure that your deposited money is not embezzled by the stupid manger MIKE.

I have been living in the Belcrest since June and I love it! The other reviews are wrong. The manager is not a jerk at all. However, if you go at him like you own him he gets a bit upset. So would I! If you approach him as a reasonable person he's great. The maintenance staff is always available, including at two am in an emergency, but they aren't going to come running at odd hours because you blew a fuse. The place is quiet, the neighbors I've met are generally friendly and polite and I feel very safe in this building! I don't know why people complain about Lefty's Pub. I've never heard the noise get excessive to the tenants and I love the convenience! I would recommend this place to anyone.
