Review for Freedom Place Apartments

I had the opportunity to tour Freedom Place and talk with current residents. The current manager responsible for the upkeep of the single family units continues to misappropriate money intented for interior upkeep. Majority of the units which have been occuppied for 5 to 10 years require interior painting, new carpet, and the security alarms are defective and triggers an annoying beep at regular intervals. The manager approves lawn service and they never remove rubbish when cutting the lawn (rubbish is cut and blown throughout entire area). The recreation center (tennis, swimming pool, recreation rooms)for the children has not been open for over 6 years. The tenants (who are low income single parents) are hesitant to complain for fear of losing their homes there. When SLB management sends their auditors or inspectors he only allows them to tour the units that were recently renovated. The doors on all the single family homes have never been freshly painted and require a simple touch up. Although I do not reside at Freedom Place I am appauled by the lack of appropriate and necessary repairs required to improve the quality of living there. Some tenants have kitchen appliances that are inoperable. I beleive that the current manager should be removed, an inspection of all the units be performed and that Freedom Place be restored to provide the quality of living it was designed for.
