At first glance, these apartments/townhouses seem inviting. I currently live in one of the 2 bedroom townhomes. The carpet should have been replaced BEFORE i moved it. It's matted and hasn't been changed in years. (i had a relative who had rented this same townhouse a few years prior). It has an electric stove. Maintanence is slow to come. It usually takes at least 3 days from the time you report the problem. They have a MAJOR bug problem.... tons of ants and spiders. I have complained and asked soemthing be done - they still won't do anything. There are lots of mice, and since you can't have pets - including cats - the mice remain. It's very loud at night. Kids run around all night playing tag and screaming. People are fighting all the time. If you like white trash and let your 6 year old run around at 1am you will feel right at home here. Many things have been stolen from the outside of my home. My brand new umbrella for my patio set to flowers in pots on my front porch.
The apartments are laid out crappy. The kitchens set in the back corner and get NO sunlight what-so-ever. The main floor gets low light, as their is only a sliding glass door and one tiny window in the living room. The curving staircases are too narrow to fit a Queen Size matress and box frame up. The house is not insulated well - drafts come through the outlets. Last winter they tried to improve the townhouses by re-doing the vynal siding. Only they ONLY replaces the vynal siding on the FRONT of all the buildings, not the sides or back. SO the fronts have different sidding than the rest of the sides of the buildings. The cubbard space in the kitchen is minimal. One cubbard is a total waste, because the breaker box is on the inside. The underground sprinkling faces the sidewalks and reaches to the front doors. So if you plan on comming home between 10pm - 12am Don't- unless you don't mind getting soaked from the waist down walking into your front door. The office ladies are bitchy and are never in the office. They lock the door and go around the back to smoke all day- if you didn't know they were there, you might think the office is never open.
The parking is terrible. Nobody ever uses the car ports, so if you have more than one vehicle or you don't mind parking in the car-port.. you will never find a parking space in the parking lot in front of the house.
When you first drive in, there is a long road that goes around to the back. There are no speed bumbps, and all drivers think the speedlimit is 40mph.
They don't allow satellite dishes, so you are forced to use their rooftop antena, that only gets in 2 channels, or you have to get cable.
Sure the rent is nice, because it's income based, so these apartments seem like a nice deal.... I would never recomend these apartments to ANYONE. the floor plans are awful, the office ladies are bitchy(of course they are nice when you are interested in renting) and not helpful, and there is little light and ONE window on the main floor.
If you are looking for somewhere dark, noisy, has lots of bugs, especially spiders and ants, skunks, noisy kids, loud neighbors, speeding cars and slow maintanence, then this is the perfect place for you.
