Our Review for Morton House Apartments

Morton House Apartments provides many dining options when staying at the complex like The Chop House, Barter Town Diner, and Hopcat, which are only some of the options. Monroe Center Retail provides a refuge for shopaholics looking for a shopping excursion. Monroe Center Mall, Perception, and Collins Fine Art are elements unique to this area that cannot be found anywhere else. In reviews this complex was considered to be wonderful and many said the staff was great. One review noted that the rent is based off of one’s salary. Though the building is older, reviewers believe that for the price, it is well worth it.

I have recently moved into the Morton House Apartments, located downtown Grand Rapids, and thus far I am very satisfied. It's a nice apartment, and rent is based on income which is a HUGE help. Office staff has been fairly helpful to me. My only concern is the maintnance staff. They are quite slow on repairs, and when I first moved in I found cigarette ashes in the kitchen drawers that I had to clean up that they had left behind from working on the apartment. There isn't very much noise. The building is in fairly good condition considering how old it is. There is a slight cockroach problem, but the building is exterminated each month, and it's fairly easy to curtail the problem in individual apartments.

so far this has been a fairly quiet place considering the amount of tenants. there is a serious cockroach problem and cleanliness of some tenants. while spraying for bugs in a room, it should take longer than 15 seconds and the trash areas should be heavily sprayed in every crack and crevous. common areas and heavily used areas such as doors and elevators should be disinfected more often. the office personnel does not relay repair messages efficiently and i have personally watched my request appear to be written down, but i read nothing as the secretary acted like she wrote something.
