Apartment Reviews for Amberwood Apartments
Decent... unless you're in the lower level...

Safety: ok, not much goes on out that way... sometimes kids run around without supervision and some of the younger people like to fly through there but overall, watch your kids and it's fine.
Parking: minimal, the best thing is the 1 car garage that is attached to the complex by a hallway ((NICE IN THE WINTER))
Appearance: fall: so many leaves and acorns, it's hard to keep up... winter: the OWNER of the property does a quick swipe swipe with the plow and calls it good...
office staff: friendly, but have too much on their plates with all the run-down apts they have to deal with. only one maintanence guy/apt manager... gets NO HELP from owners!!!!!
Maintenance: see office staff, which is why maintenance is lacking... my slider door rained inside every time it rained or the snow melted for TWO YEARS because owners are GREEDY GREEDY and don't like to put money into the buildings!!!
Condition of unit: They're OLD what do you expect for something made in 1982?? and never had anything done to it. Heater works, ac works, electric is shotty (lightbulbs only last a month IF THAT)
Noise level: I lived downstairs... I could hear my neighbors using the bathroom!!! EVERYTHING IS HEARD DOWNSTAIRS!!!!!! Live upstairs if you want... my simple fix to this is to put 3/4" carpet pad in upstairs apts!!!! (but the owner is cheap so it's useless)
Overall: It's okay... not great, just okay... the location, fireplace (that hasn't been cleaned in eons so I hardly ever used mine), dishwasher, central a/c, decent sized rooms and w/d hookup balanced the rest of the crap WRONG with the place out a bit... carpet in most units had been replaced (but not in mine), but the leaking slider door, broken door handles, all the little (some MAJOR like water damage and mold) stuff wrong with the place made me want to leave.
