Apartment Reviews for Foote Hills Estates - Kentwood

To start off, the first reviewer said there has not been a staff change in the five years they have lived here. This is incorrect; in the 3.5 years I've lived at Foote Hills there have been three different property managers and three different leasing agents. <P>
The newest property manager has some great ideas to spruce up the community, but there has been poor communication with the execution of those plans. The balcony of my apartment building was washed and sealed last summer; the only notice of that work was a sign posted on an exterior door to the building--a door which I never used! I had to remove plants and furniture on my balcony on three different occassions to accomodate the work done. Normally that would not be a problem, but each time there was advanced notice of less than one day. Last summer I spoke with the property manager over the phone about a leaking A/C unit, and during the entire conversation I felt he was only humoring me. A week later the A/C unit was still not repaired; I then spoke with the leasing agent and the repair was completed the next day. The leasing agent said a work order was never completed for my original request. Give all requests to the leasing agent and you should be okay! <P>
The carpet and cabinets of my apartment were old and tired, but other than that everything about the unit is fine. Neighbors tend to have the volume on their TVs and stereos high, and the floors are squeaky. With all that being said, I enjoyed living at this apartment and it breaks my heart to have to leave it. Overall, I do recommend this apartment with hesitation only in regard to the poor communication regarding building updates and enhancements. <P>
