Review for President Madison Apartments

I have lived here for five years and in four days, I am finally moving out. I only stayed in this apartment for as long as I did for the convenient drive to my employment.
Regardless of what the description says at the bottom, this apartment is very small. You walk out of your bedroom and you are virtually in every room already (dining room, living room).
The security is non-existent. I have gotten my car stolen and have woken up to my bedroom window wide open one day which both were on separate occasions. These two examples shows what type of surroundings you will be moving into.
The noise level is almost unbearable. You can hear everything in the hallway, especially from your bedroom. (Although this example is dependent upon the neighbors that you live next to).
The washer and dryer located in the basement was a waste of money. The washer nor the dryer ever worked right and there is only one set to each apartment building, consequently making you either A. Wait for someone to finish doing their laundry or B. Go to the laundry mat.
The water seems to be shared with different apartment units. When someone is taking a shower in another apartment, your water will be cold. Again, you will have to wait until someone in that apartment is done taking a shower before you can take one yourself.
I have recently found out this past summer that my air conditioning was connected to the outside hallway, which essentially, I was the one cooling down the hallway all summer. I didn't find this out until I found a vent right outside my apartment. Whenever my air conditioning was running, I heard the vent also running. The minute I turned off the air conditioning, I no longer felt air coming out of the hallway vent.
The only positive point that I can bring to this review is that the maintenance staff is extremely friendly.
