Apartment Reviews for Village Green Of Rochester Hills - Rochester Hills

I enjoyed living in the Village Green complex for the two years I was there. My major complaint were the annual increases for both years I was there, then the leasing office offered me a renewal rate over 30% higher than the previous year and almost 40% higher from my initial lease. The real blatant issue I had was that the Village Green website and the popular classified site (named after Craig) offered identical units significantly cheaper than what the leasing office offered me to stay an additional year. I think it proves their motive is to lure tenants in at fair rates and subsequently Increase monthly rents, attempting to capitalize on the inconvenience of moving for current tenants. How could it be perceived any other way?

Other complaints:

- Parking is horrible like most reviews would say, although it was something I could deal with.
- Some of the fixtures are cheap; the standalone shower, for example, has MAJOR cracks at the seams (it's a plastic one-piece). It appears they've made multiple attempts to seal it with a silicon seal, but it was executed poorly and it's black, which could be mold. I had used bleach cleaners in case it was mold, but it remained black. Beware!!
- Leasing office staff, and their professionalism is questionable at best.

Too bad too. I expressed my desire to stay and was planning to stay a few more years.
