Apartment Review for South Pointe

I just moved out of South Pointe in July 2007, after having lived there 2 years. I renewed my lease based on having an addendum to my lease that said they would fix the loud squeaky floors, add more padding under the carpeting, take care of the loud out of control neighbors, and put in insulation, etc.. Shortly after my renewal was signed, I was informed that the owner decided he wouldn't be insulating the apartments. I had inconsiderate neighbors, who were loud and stayed up most of the night, fought loudly, and didn't feel safe there. My car was keyed, sliding glass door shattered, my vegetable garden was used as an ash tray, and my neighbors things were stolen off their patio. The first 3 managers lied to me, and the first 2 maintenance people did very little. The construction is poor, and no insulation at all makes it even worse. Current there is a manager there (who didn't lie to me, at least I think not), and a new maintenance person (who seems to care and have the needed skills)... but I still wouldn't recommend this place. It as not a nice place to come home to after a hard day at work, and I'm so glad that I left.
