Apartment Review for F Scott Company

I have never experienced such a poorly maintained unit. The first month, so many basic repairs were being ignored, that I threatened to withhold rent and/or call the city inspector. Then, and only then, did my apartment receive basic maintenance (smoke detectors, screens, sink that drained, etc.). And I am still waiting on one screen. I've only seen one mouse thus far, but it is only October, so I dread the winter months. Oh, and, here's the icing on the cake: I received a phone call TODAY (on the 17th of the month, 17 days after rent was due) informing me that my rent had never been paid. I put a check in their dropbox on Sept. 30! THEY LOST MY RENT CHECK!! I panicked, called my bank and canceled the check. F. Scott Company informed me that I would be getting an eviction notice (via my voicemail) and then they did not answer my calls for the rest of the business day. You better believe I'm keeping a written record of everything that has happened in case I need it in court.

If I had paid in a money order that had been promptly lost by F. Scott Company (which I know so many people do), I would be SOL.
