Review for Woods Of Roundtree Apartments

I lived in this complex for 18 months from Aug, 2005 to Feb, 2007.

I had no catastrophic events during that time. Maintenance responded quickly to leaks or broken heaters, but could take a long time for non-urgent stuff (like replacing my dishwasher).

I was very fortunate to have quiet, adult neighbors for most of my stay. However, this complex really does attract a mixed bag of people. It was normal to see people working on their cars in the parking lot, or walking large dogs. On one instance on my floor, I had to call the cops on new student residents whose boyfriends started fighting on the landing.

Parking was sometimes an issue. If I worked late in the evening, about half the time I would not be able to find a spot in front of my building. I would find parking somewhere on site, but since the lot wasn't very well lit, that was no fun. On the flip side, open parking meant my friends could visit with no special instruction on where to park, or with any risk of being towed away.

It was a convenient location for shopping and catching the bus, and a lot cheaper than living an Ann Arbor.

About half the office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The other half not so much. And the other half was a bookkeeper, with whom I had several arguments over erroneous charges. Keep your reciepts, and get everything in writing. But also, make sure you get to know them, and use the facilities available to you.

In short, it was a good place for a graduate student to live while finishing up. Not great, but good. And they always had cookies in the clubhouse.
