I don't see what the fuss is about ( over a year ago )

I've lived in several places for rent, and have owned before, and I don't see eye to eye with the people who have posted before me. The "model" I was shown was my future apartment, after calling maint. regarding my dishwasher, they were at my door within 45 minutes. Granted I did come home one night with cops out front (no arrests or anything, they left without anyone with them) and the grocery carts are shamelessly left in the lobby, and people refrain from cleaning up after themselves in the laundry room. I wouldn't attribute that to the management though, I would attribute that to individuals not having common courtesy for others. It's a huge complex but I rarely hear ANYTHING. Also, my 2br/2ba is quite large and open, and the bathrooms are a very nice size for an apartment.

I think where you live is what you make of it, and trust me, if you want to make something great, it will be.

I do not regret taking out a lease here, they make it simple (I reccommend talking to Amanda), but I definitely don't appreciate the maintenance staff and the hours of office are inconvenient if you have a regular 8:00-5:00 job... Also the phone buzzers haven't worked at all since I have lived here!

However on a good note, the location is great and the security is updated and I feel safe! People keep to themselves and the laundry services are convenient.

I have lived at Hampshire Hill now for almost two years. Don't pay attention to what all these people are saying. I know there are bound to be cases where there are issues, but I have not had a single one. This place is on a HUGE lot of land so it's very quiet for such a central location. Also, I have found the office and maintenance staff extremely kind and helpful. They are always going out of their way to do things and they know me (and a lot of other residents) on a first name basis. I do wish there were W/D in the units, and I agree that the parking stalls could be bigger. But as for party central and dangerous??? That could not be farther from the truth. I love living here and hopefully I will be here for a lot longer!

I am shocked by some of the reviews I have read on this site. I lived at Hampshire Hill for 10 years and have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. The W. Bloomington location is perfect. There is a trail right behind the apartments that leads to the Three Rivers Park area. The landscape is beautiful and well kept. The maint. crew responds fast and is very friendly. The management team is just as friendly. I lived there during the old and new management and both were very accomodating.

When I first moved in I had no idea the experience was going to be so pleasant. My 1o year experience was great and I was proud to call Hampshire Hill my home.

Great place to live! The management is great and very attentive. If you have a maintenance issue they fix it immediatly (even if you have to call in the middle of the night). The grounds are HUGE, lots of grass and trees. Beautiful area. I would highly recommend it.

The pros and cons of life intercect at Hampshire Hills. On one hand the floorplan of the apartment I have is spacious and contemporary, very nicely done! Walk-in closet, ceiling fan and breakfast bar. On the other hand, if something goes out in the apt. give yourself a 3 DAY cushion to get ANYTHING done because management attitude and maintenance response time are HORRIBLE! Overall though I've been here 3+ years because I LOVE the apt I'm in, it's an afforable upper-class area of the suburb and the amentities they will have in the next year will push it to the next level...
