Review for Village Plaza Apartments

I couldn't agree more with the review post entitled "Safe Building But Otherwise Bad." That review was spot on. The appearance of the building is very nice, and I too was sold on how "soundproofed" the building was due to the concrete framing. Unfortunately, I think this also keeps sound IN the building. I could hear the elevator ding from my living room, and I lived at least 60 feet from it. The apartment doors are heavy and do not have any mechanism to slow them down, so inconsiderate neighbors let them slam shut. Also, the tiled floors in the kitchen/dining room areas reverberate sound something terrible, so you can hear your neighbors sliding a chair across the floor (at all hors of the day). This was the most expensive apartment I have ever lived in, and also my worst experience. Your mileage may vary, but don't say you weren't warned.
