Review for Grand Pre East Apartments

This place seems like it has everything -- indoor/outdoor pools, exercise room, tanning, underground parking -- all the amenities of an upper-class building. But, oh, it is not so great at all!!!

My biggest complaint is that I can hear my neighbors turn on their shower, walk, talk, etc ... anything ... And they can hear me!!! I am a quiet, white, professional female. I do not cause trouble!! But, in my second-floor apartment at Grand Pre East, apparently I am a trouble maker! I received a noise complaint for "heavy walking." I am not even fat .. I have to practically tip toe around my place in order to not piss off the neighbors downstairs.

What is even worse is that I cannot even have sex in my apartment without the neighbors hearing me - not matter how quiet we are, because they can hear it through the floor, and they will complain. Complaints will get you kicked out, violate your lease, and cost you $1500. I don't know what to do about this -- this should not be something I have to worry about in my home. I should be allowed to have sex.

Don't move here if you like to walk around your apartment, if you like to talk in your apartment, or if you like to have sex, or if you like to sleep in on the weekends -- every Saturday morning I am woken up to the sound of pipes squeeking as my neighbor showers. It is so very annoying!!!

For a nice building, this place has paper thin walls!!! It is not nice at all. I also have had maintenance problems in my place that have been fixed, but the stuff just broke again. I am paying WAY WAY WAY too much to have to put up with that kind of crap!

Don't move here -- Hillsborough Manor is closeby and has about the same exact amenities. I don't know how thin their walls are, but I'd look at that place first!
