The neighborhood provides several grocers including Oak Grove Grocery, 15th Street market, and Groceries on Harmon that offers a hot deli bar. Found just off Route 252, Melrose Gates offers tenants easy access to multiple highways which makes it possible to get around fast. Once on Route 252, residents can merge on to I-694 or I-94 and go west towards institutions of higher learning such as National American University and Brown College within 2 miles of the apartment complex. In the vicinity of these colleges, is a Target for any shopping necessities. Don’t forget that these apartments are situated right next to a cinema to catch the latest flicks and a Jimmy John’s for a quick bite. Reviews of this property love the location for many reasons, including its parking. Dissatisfied tenant reviews said that management was the problem, but there was a change coming in 2011. Situated up against Hope Academy, Minneapolis Grand is an apartment complex for those who are looking to be just outside the city, but still want to be a part of it. With 3 bus stops within a block, residents say it is easy to get into downtown. Reviews say if you’re someone who likes to walk; this is your type of place. While it is not the safest place to walk at night, and there is not much in the immediate area, the city limits are not far away.
