These people are rude and highly disorganized. I've had billing errors, the inspector unexpectedly banging at my door (how about a polite phone call beforehand?) only to give me the stink-eye like I don't deserve functioning plumbing. I have Section 8 and they don't have a clue what to do!! Never had that problem with my old landlord. I am just so shocked at how inept some of the people in the office are...especially the one who snapped that she had been handling housing vouchers "a long time". The bathroom tile is plastic and falling off plus its full of mildew and all the grout is missing. There is a "slum-lord clause" in the lease which, though would not stand up in court, basically states that you're renting the apartment as-is and JAS is under no obligation to do any repairs. If your ceiling caves in I guess it's just too bad. And I'm sick of moving, so I guess I'll see them in court when all the tile falls off of my bathroom walls and ceiling.
