A lot of the apartments are really small and cramped. They are cold in winter and extremely hot in the summer. There is a fire station within blocks so you hear a lot of sirens not to mention the traffic noice. Parking is very tight. They charge more than $50 a month for a parking spot but often people park your assigned space because they don't enforce the parking permits. The apartments are not well maintained and the company just got hit with penalties for lead paint violations. They nickel and dime you. As a example, my rent increased and I paid my rent on the first of the month and forgot that it increased. They waited until the tenth of the month to notify me that I had underpaid by a small amount so they could charge me a late fee. Rent has to be paid in person but office hours make this tough if you work fulltime. You can definitely find a better place to live for the rent they charge you-I did. Rumors of drug dealers in the building. Residents let anyone follow them in so security is worthless. There is no intercom system so you have to go downstairs to let someone in but don't know who it is. Water was shut off quite often.
