I have lived here for five years and have no complaints. They have been renovating the place and it looks remarkable! The maintenance team is quick to take care of problems. The manager hosts poker tournaments every year that goes on for weeks. He gives out prizes and treats us to some snacks. During the final game he grills food in the courtyard for all who participate. It is a fun place to live!

It is the worst place that you can imagine and live in. Not to mention the fact that it's very old with the worst mangmanet ever especailly Jason who suck big time and lie all the times. I regret living there and giving them my money i could of used else where. My advise to yo is better to live in the street than living there, yes to that degree. Old, Ugly appartment, very expensive and the rent keeps going up each time.

This was the worst ever decision made! Management does not care at all about their residents. One day they can tell you to move out on specific day and in a few hours they will change their minds by asking you to pay for an additional day. Rent prices increase spontaneously. Garage went up from $35 to $60 in the middle of June, for some reason. The apt. does not even worth the amount they charge for. You will more likely end up living next door to drug addict or some kind of low-income person who will do nothing but drugs or drinks. Also, you will see a lot of homeless people walking in you building during night(some even sleep in trash rooms or storage.) So, think well before you sign your lease!

My husband and I lived there when he was doing his post grad up until I was pregnant with our second baby. We had a one bedroom apartment facing I-94. As with all apartments that we have rented I'm never totally satisfied when we first rent it, but as we moved everything in and I got settled, I loved the apartment. I understand when others talked about safety. It certainly doesn't look like the safest area of town, but when we go out at night we do see many young students around the area. Usually the front of the building at the pizza place or across the street where the coffee shop is. We've never had any problems when we go out at night, whether it is coming home from the train station from a late flight or walking over to a nearby restaurant to grab a bite. When I was pregnant with our first baby, sometimes I'd feel nauseous at night and my husband would suggest walking across the I 94 pedway overpass to the other side where Augsburg College was to fly a kite or even just for a late night stroll.

We loved the parking stalls that we were given. We had one car to start with and once we had our first baby, we got a second car with an extra parking stall. The second stall was right behind the first stall that we already had. It was right across from the elevator and our apartment was also right around the corner from the elevator. My husband and I did have a couple of bikes that did get stolen in the garage, and my husbands car did get scratched and a bit dented by someone that parked in the stall next to him that was not even supp'd to park there. Overall I still loved the parking.

The appearance of the apartment was average, but was much better than the place we were at prior to that.

I loved the office staff. They were very accomodating and always tried to help with anything that they could. Out of all the office staff that we have dealt with, they have been the best.

We didn't have any maintenance issues either. They were quick to help us if we had any problems and also offered advise when we had questions or concerns.

The condition of the unit was average, but with never having a garberator before, I loved it. ;)

Our unit was on the third floor and facing I 94. At first it was a little noisy, but I soon got used to it and I did like having the view versus facing the inside where you only get to look at the oppossing apartment windows. It would have been too quiet for me.

Overall we loved the apartment. It was very central. We didn't have to drive far to get anywhere and if we were leaving town, it was close enough to the train station that we would walk there and take it to the airport versus having to fight rush hour traffic and also having to pay for parking at the airport which would cost an arm and a leg. My husband also hates commuting and this place got him to work in less than 15 minutes. We eventually moved to Roseville as we needed more room for the arrival of the second baby, and Cedars 94 does not have 3 bedrooms. Like I said before, I eventually got used to the next apartment and now the apartment that we are in after that, but I still highly recommend this apartment. Still miss everything there especially the friendly office staff.

I currently live here and I have never hated an apartment building like this before. Looking at the rent you pay and crappy apts with stinking carpets both in the hallways and rooms....the place is disgusting and way overrated. The neighborhood is quiet dangerous too. There was a 9 car break-in on Oct 22nd in the garage. Not the street...the GARAGE. Very scary people walking the hallways and sitting on balconies. This is the biggest mistake i've made in my 14yrs of renting. Please avoid.....it's not worth it at all. I can't wait for my 1yr to end next summer.

I have lived at Cedars 94 for over 2 years and I could not be more impressed! It has been totally remodeled:brand new game room ,community room, guest suite all new washers and dryers. It's really great to live at a place where they actually put my rent money to good use. The neighborhood is pretty lively (it's Minneapolis!) but everything you need is very close by.By far the nicest and most accomodating management I've ever dealt with living in apartment.Last winter the manager jumped started my car for me, and while I was out town the assisatant manager fed my cat and watered my plants. Is that service or what! You defineately get your monies worth living here plus a lot of great extras!!!

I moved here in 2007, after graduating college and was satisified with my contract. The management is a very sensitive to multi culture. I would definitely call them an educated, humanistic type of management with a compassion for people. This is a neighborhood that has problems and even though we had a break in or two things were acted on swiftly.

Management cooperates with police this is great. The rent was affordable and I recieved respect as a tenant. I did not own a car and there might be issues for people with cars. Light rail is very close and so is bus and colleges. I would recommend this place because of the owers and management

Ofcourse unless we have bad experience most of us don't go out of our way to rate these apartments. I will say this, i really liked the apartment itself, i felt very safe and convenient to all the things i want, light rail, airport and work.

The only reason I wouldn't consider renting in this apartment or i wouldn't suggest for anyone to rent it because of the retarded manager they have. I am not sure whats his problem was, from day one they treated me like an idiot, I didn't even think they wanted me to rent the apartment.

I moved from Texas relocated through Job and My company gave me one month corporate housing until i find an apartment and one place i feel comfortable to rent interms of what i was looking for was this apartment.

I never had criminal background, i get paid very well, i filled up my application and gave them the copy of my job offer to approve my credentials, with no doubts that i will be approved but these people didn't even respond back to me. I have to call and bug them asking them whats going on, they keep on telling me they waiting for me to be approved, two weeks went by they said the same thing. I had to raise my voice and tell them my frustration then the manager said ok i will go head and approve you. This is just the start, my first day moving in, they gave me the wrong garage key i was able to get a hold of them before they leave then once i was moving my suffs and walk in to my apartment then the apartment key didn't work. i have to call and wait for an hour for someone to come and give me a key.

Several things i could say about this guy and another lady who are working in the management how decieving they are and don't have good manner they way they treat others.

Three people work in office and i am only comfortable in talking to one lady, that made it hard for me to communicate with them because i don't like to talk to anyone if there is conflict.

they also lied about utility bills so becareful before you sign the contract make sure ask all the questions repeatedly get the answer from them if not make them sign aggreement too.
