Review for Bass Lake Hills Townhomes Apartments

PLEASE- for your safety DO NOT move in. RUN RUN RUN!!! Parking is horrible-you will have to park on the street and you will get a ticket. We lived 2 doors down from a guy that didn't leash or control his dog. We were attacked by the dog many times and complained many times to the management. They had a great idea for solving the issue, "We will move you to a different townhome." WHAT- This guy is letting an angry, horrid dog run free and bite my father in law and you want to move me...not happening. We had many many maintenance issues that didn't get solved until I HOUNDED them to do it and even then they wouldn't do it. The ice on the townhome built up and I wanted someone to come knock it off and they didn't. It finally fell and gave me a huge goose egg on my head. When we moved in the washer leaked the first day and flooded the entire townhome- it took a week before we got a new washer. The dryer never worked and was rusted. After 3 months of complaining- they came in with super strong chemicals and refurnished it and we had to live with my parents for a week because of the strong smell. We had to pay though. The floor was soaked with urine, it wasn't cleaned, the toilet leaked (that never got fixed- it always smelled in there). DOGS POOP EVERYWHERE!!! You can't open any windows because dogs are pooping all over. I am a huge pet lover and dog lover...but I clean up after them. They wouldn't do anything about the dog poop issue. We always heard people through the walls even though they said they have never had a complaint about the noise level. Police were frequently called to all parts of the development. No one was available to help when we needed it. I called late at night for no heat one time and the maintenance guy responded, 'Well, I just got home and I live an hour away- can you just go buy a space heater for the night and bundle up." This was when my son was 3 weeks old. We left because of the poor service and being attacked by the same dog over and over. My mom came to visit her infant grandson one night and she called me from the driveway- she couldn't come in because the big mean dog was right outside her car growling and she had to leave and go home because no one in the office would take care of the issue. PLEASE- look elsewhere to rent. Look for a private home with one owner. Wendy, Jennifer, Lisa, and Penny in the office do NOT care about anything but filling the place so they look good. They won't take care of you- they don't listen to your needs. RED FLAG- if those 4 folks let you move in to a urine soaked house and totally dirty (a pile of poop was on our bedroom floor when we moved in)- do you really think they are going to take care of you when you move in. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE- for your safety! Wendy, the property manager is never there to begin with- she is never there on a weekend or evenings and during the day she is usually at a different site or traveling or at corporate meetings. It makes me sad how corporate thinks she is such a great manager when she is never there. I wish CSM would do their research.
