Review for Regency Point Apartment Homes Apartments

A Plymouth woman was found dead in her apartment Oct. 19 following an argument with her boyfriend, according to Plymouth Police.

The body of Crystal Louise Halloran, 23, was discovered around 3:30 a.m. by Plymouth Police after neighbors at Regency Point Apartments, 3705 Harbor Lane, called police when they heard yelling in the hallway, the police report said.

Officers arriving on the scene heard sounds of a struggle coming from one apartment and noted blood in the hall. They detained a man who was leaving the apartment and then found Halloran, who was declared dead at the scene, the police report said.



Police have not yet released the cause the death.

The man, Bernard Tuda Obondo, 26, was charged Oct. 20 with first-degree murder through the Hennepin County Attorney's office and is being held in the Hennepin County Detention Center, the police report said.

Halloran and Obondo "shared a significant relationship prior to the homicide," the police report said.

"We feel very badly for the victim and her family," said Plymouth Police Chief Mike Goldstein.

The neighbors who called police did the right thing, he said.

While there was no way police could have responded more quickly, they were "literally a minute or two away from making a significant difference," Goldstein said.

"Domestic violence knows no socio-economic borders," he said. "It's in the richest homes and in the poorest homes.

"It's certainly a tragedy for our community. It's something we wish we could have prevented."
