I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for good schools and convenient location in the MSP Western Suburbs. A very good deal and the management company did an excellent job of taking care of any issue that ever arose.

I've lived there for a year. The staff was extremely courteous on your first visit only. Their maintenance staff sucks! The building I was in always had a pet odor due to tenants not picking up after their pets. It is also extremely noisy with all the dogs barking day and night. It's worse in the winter cause tenants walk their dogs in the hallways. Not to mention in the year I lived there, there was at least 3 fires, one in the underground parking which caused tenants to be out of their apartment for about 3 hours. Be very careful when signing your lease, they have a policy that all leases end on Monday so if the last day of the month does not fall on a Monday, it'll be carried over to the following month and you'll be responsible to pay the prorated rent even if you move out by the end on the month. I would also recommend taking pictures before you move in cause they've deducted my deposit for damages I did not incurred.

to summarize, I've lived in about 28 rented apartments in 8 different states, and Vicksburg Village is the one I liked by far the best. It is as close to perfect, though not 100% perfect, as I have found so far. It makes you feel like home.

Large windows, lots of light and white walls, clean air (this is very important, quite a few apartments have unbreathable air, or can't open windows enough, especially highrises that circulate air from your neighbors' bathrooms into yours), clean inside the apartment and outside, lots of green space, surrounded by many trees including pine trees on the property and also next to a small creek (not just a stupid empty lawn in front like many other apartments), many beautiful songbirds all around, underground assigned parking spot for each apartment, and washer and dryer in every unit.

Personally I consider washer and dryer in unit a necessity, not an amenity - if an apartment complex does not have W/D in unit, its like not having water or electricity. You have to wash your clothes, and it is stressful having to waste time to guard them at a laundry room so others don't throw them on the floor etc. W/D in unit contributes a lot to feeling at home. The apartments are roomy, clean, with the aspect of a townhome. The property has an indoor as well as outdoor pool and walking trail to Plymouth Creek park as well as many paths within the property which is like a park in itself. Protected by hills and trees from cty rd 9 and Vicksburg lane, but apartments close to the road will be somewhat affected by noise but not much, it is far from any freeway.

The only less than perfect item is gas heat - each unit has its own boiler, and gas costs up to 150$/month. You can get a great move in special, but when your lease is up, the office staff boss is a mean person that likes to increase your rent by about $200/month so then you have to move out.(all other office staff are very nice)

Vicksburg is a wonderful place to live. I have lived here for 4 years and have very few, minimal complaints about my experiencde. The staff is friendly and responsive and always keep Vicksburg looking great. I have also had very positive comments from people who have visited me. It also happens to be the quietest place I have ever lived. No place is perfect, but this has come about as close as any place I have lived. During the summer, the grounds are filled with beautiful flowers. Property is always clean.

We have been here about 10 months and we love it. We live in the pet building and sometime other pet parents don't pick up their doggie poo but other than that it is great. They work hard around there to make sure your problems are fixed right away! The neighbors are very friendly and it really is just an overall great place to call home.
