Apartment Reviews for Sela Investments - Saint Louis Park

I have lived at Southwirth off and on for a period of 5 years, and I have to say KUDOS to Sela Investments, Starting from the top, General Manager Amy Gonyea and her staff.

I have lived at Sela for a number of years and I love it. The maintenance staff is quick to respond and the main office people are very friendly. I appreciate all that they do to make my home a great place to live.

I have known amy for 7+ years and am currently living at Cedar Ridge which is a Sela property. Amy is a very warm and caring person and is willing to help you when you are down and out and are in need. Any one that has the opportunity to get to know Amy is very lucky! Brad (214)

I have known Amy Gonyea for 8+ years and in that time I have seen a person multitask in such a way that I didn't think possible. She has her moments like anyone else does and "I DO" mean anyone! But when it comes down to the bottom line she will step out of her box and help anyone. Anyone can write a review but to be honest and true if its a bad review given "WHAT DID YOU DO" All I do know is that shes an awesome person and anyone that gets the opportunity to "REALLY" get to know her is blessed! I have lived in two different apartments through Sela Investments, over the last 5 years. The attention to cleanliness of the properties is outstanding. The customer service I receive when calling the Sela Investments ovffices continues to be superior. I find their employees to be caring, prompt and professional. Amy Gonyea, the manager, is always hands on and personally involved in continuing to make sure that her residents are happy. She follows up with the residents after issues to make sure the resolution was to your standards and often goes above and beyond to ensure your expectations are exceeded.

I can not begin to that Sela Investments and Amy Gonyea enough for providing me a safe, comfortable, clean, well maintained place to live and call home.

I have been living on Sela property for 2 years now.
I have NEVER had a problem with maintenance, they are extremely punctual and curtious.
I have had a few minor maintenance issues and they have been taken care of the same day of my calling or the very next morning.
The office staff, including Amy, are very helpful.
I have found Amy to be very pleasant and caring for her tenants.
My neighbors and myself had several issues with other neighbors in our building, the problems were taken care of in a timely manner by Amy and everything is back to status quo.
My apartment is very nice with hardwood floors.
The common areas of the buildig are maintained by a very nice lady that does a great job.
I would recommend Sela to my friends.

I am writing this message to let you all know that Amy Gonyea is a Sweet and Honest person. I thank her for accepting me and my family and some of my behavior. Amy is a very caring person and she does give you chances, and sometimes more than once. she has been there for my Family since i have lived here at one of her properties here in Robbinsdale. Whatever you do, don't burn your bridges with her or her staff. Thank you Amy for loving me like a family member!! Thank you for you and I mending our relationship like it was in the beginning and trusting me again. You are A beautiful Person inside and out. I also know for a fact that you don't take crap from no one!! Love ya Amy, and it is always a pleasure to see you even when you drive by!!

I have lived at Cedar Ridge for six years and in the time that I have been a resident when ever I have needed any extra time in paying my rent Amy has always worked with me in making payments. Any work that I have needed done in my apartment was approved and done in a mannerly time and done well. Residents that live here always speak well of Amy, Cedar Ridge is a great place to call home! Living with Sela has been a great experience for me. I have lived at Cedar Ridge for over a year and appreciate all the work the staff does to make my home nice. Great job Sela and a special thanks to Rene.

I have not dealt much with Sela but I look forward to working with them. From the moment I walked into the door the whole staff was friendly and Amy was very enthusiastic and understanding. It is the type of enviornment one wants to be in. I look forward to working more with Amy and Sela.

I've been living at a Sela Investments apartment for two years now. When I first saw the place I couldn't believe how clean and beautiful the apartment was. There were a few problems with the windows and stove, but they were fixed before we moved in. I had some personal troubles and Amy Gonyea, the landlord, was very sweet and understanding about my situation, and since then has been nothing but kind, and a really big help when needed. The staff at Sela are always punctual in fixing anything and giving a call back. If there are ANY problems whatsoever, the concerns are not ignored and are promptly taken care of. You couldn't ask for a better landlord, or company to rent from!!

Amy Gonyea is very money hungry, and she can't not be trusted. She is a liar. Make sure you get everything in writing. Do not do a verbal agreement with her. She will stab you in the back. I know, she did this to me. I learn my lesson.

I was having issues with my neighbors pets leaving "presents" all over the yard. They spoke to the neighbors in a diplomatic way and the situation was taken care of without any stress. Our handyman lets me keep my bike downstairs during the winter, and the halls are vacuumed twice a week! Sela is always understanding with payment emergencies too...very easy to talk to.

I have been living in my new Uptown apartment for about 2 months now. Love the area and the apartment. The staff was great to work with. Thanks

Amy is a very special person and is like a mom to me. I'm K.K., she helps whoever is willing to work with her and help themselves. I love these apartments . I'm just responding about Ms. Gonyea because she shows me tough love and is a blessing in my life

I started renting with Sela a year and a half ago, and couldn't be happier. I've lived all over the United States and I have to say this is my favorite apartment, and favorite landlord as well. I had problems with my fridge, and it was replaced within the day, the same with my stove. If anything needs to be taken care of, it's always done within a matter of a few days. The staff are very friendly and kind hearted and will do what they can to help out and be understanding, especially Ed, Joy and Amy Gonyea.

Other perks? Great parking, very affordable, quiet building, family friendly, good washer/dryer and well maintained building!

I will definitely be living here until I can buy a house!

I have been very happy living in my Sela property at Oak Ridge. The staff has been very helpful and pleasant. I've had the pleasure of meeting Amy Gonyea who runs the show and she has been very helpful and sincere.

I love my apt and have lived here for over a decade. Amy Gonyea is very professional and a pleasure to work with.

I feel comfortable and secure in renting with Sela and am happy to call this place my home.

Sela Investments is great, I have lived at 10100 Minnetonka Blvd for 3 plus 12 previous years in total. I love it and now I am so lucky I have a Walkout Apt. It is great! Great Location, Schools and maintenance.

I've lived here for about two years and LOVE the convenience and price!!! It's SO close to walking distance to Lake Calhoun/Harriet/Lake of the Isles!!! SO easy to walk to all of the shops and bars! You can have a very pedestrian lifestyle living here.

When I've needed help, the maintenance staff has been SO helpful- they fixed the problems and were so nice. The management was SO AWESOME- my fridge broke (they fixed it) and gave me a gift card to make up for the spoiled food I had to throw away!! They're always in the office if you need to talk!

The apartments are clean and VERY safe. I have never had any worries about my safety and have never had any noise complaints. The neighbors are super nice.

I have been living in Sela Ivestment apartments for 5 years. The apartments are beautiful, and the staff is wonderful. The general manager, Amy, is helpful and understanding. I would recomed Sela apartmnts to anyone.

I loved my apartment at Rhode Island Chateau. My apartment was spacious, with a wonderful view of the pool area and landscaping. The building was always clean and quiet. Maintenance was very friendly and respectful. Amy Gonyea was like a Sister to me, though she was not my biological Sister. She was very kind, caring and concerned about my living needs when I became unemployed. She as a property Manager, has been one in a million and none like, I'd ever experienced before. If I had too, I would move back into one of Sela's Properties as long as Amy is managing, along with her staff.

I have been living here for over two years. Its honestly been quite nice, great people, my apt is very clean and I always have a parking spot!

I rented from Sela for 8 years before relocating. Amy Gonyea is great to work with. She is very helpful, professional, and I would recommend working with her to anyone.

Just moved into my new apartment at Aquila Circle. Love the new place, everything is fresh and clean. This apartment feels much bigger than my previous place. Love the location.

Living at a Sela Investments property next to Knollwood mall has been fantastic! It was fun to move into a freshly painted apartment that was pristinely cleaned and had everything working. This was a huge step up from my last place. The management has been very pleasant and accomodating, especially the General Manager Amy Gonyea who listened to my needs when I first signed my lease and later when I renewed. Thank you Sela!

Do not rent here!!! The management are terrible, rude and uncaring!!

The emergency line for afterhour problems and maintenance is non-existant!!!

I had a problem with my car getting stuck in the driveway of the complex this last storm. They would not lift a finger to help and I found them talking about me and laughing about how upset I was when I went to the office, the manager's husband saw me and shushed the manager and maintence guy when he saw me!!! There have been reports of rats and heat problems and they do nothing!!!!! My lease is up in two months and I can't wait to get the **** out!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus I live next door to the maintenance guy and he plays his sterio tv system really loud until all hours of the night. I've had to bang on the walls to get him to stop. He should know better and care - he works here!!!! But neither manager care about anyone but themselves, they should not be in the business, they don't even have the intellegence to pretend to care!!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM ALL SELA OWNED BUILDINGS!!

I have lived in Sela Apt. in St. Louis Park for 5 years. Apt. are very nice, clean and neighbors are great, caretakers, leasing agents, and management are very nice. Maintence fixed everything quick. Great place to live. Thanks Sela

lived in the knollwood apartments in hopkins on cambridge street for a year now. they are truly horible. never fix anything. if they do it take a few months. no joke!! STILL HAVE ISSUES MY AC AND FRIDGE... and the laundry room has not been working for over 2 months now. i have talked to sela and they keep telling me they are working on it.. well for having 30 units you would thing we all could wash are laundry ah?.. and on top of everything people in the building drink out on the steps smoke weed in the building in our halls.. not to thrilled with all the police visits.. and to top it all off they tried raising my rent after a year...!! now that is bogus when my place is the size of a studio and has only one bedroom!!

Whoever wrote the last Uptown review could not be more wrong. We live at a Sela property in Uptown and Love it, our building is clean and our apartment is wonderful. Kerri is the one who helped us find our apartment (she is a leasing agent not the Landlord) we found her to be very professional, helpful, and polite. Everytime we call Sela they always respond in a timely manner. So it is obvious the other person does not even know who their landlord is.

I have lived in a Sela building for two years and have found that their onsite management is Terrible. DO NOT expect the landlords to be nearly as friendly once you have signed your lease. Kerri or Kurri is one of the laziest landlords I have ever met! She is rude, snotty, and unprofessional. DO NOT expect the owners or managers to be any more professional as you will be dissapointed. They will curse you out. Will not return phone calls. Flat out lie to you about everything under the sun. RENTERS BEWARE!!! If you are looking in uptown look for a duplex or small management teams as Sela and Hornig are SIMPLY TERRIBLE!

i lived with sela for 2 years. the first year, i had an infestation of centipedes and ants. the second year, only ants, but still unacceptable. the management does not care or address concerns in a timely manner, if they do at all. you HAVE to get on their back about things before they'll call you back or address the issue. the rent you pay is not worth the apartment. also, the management is extremely rude, for example, yelling at me and saying i'm incompetent. i wouldn't live here again unless they paid me!

i have lived with them for years. not once have they made me feel like a worthwhile resident. the appartment location and all is very convenient, but the management is horrible and would pay no personal attention to how long you stayed with them. they only care about getting their money.

I have lived at the Rhode Island Chateau property for nine years. Sela Investments has been a wonderful management company to rent from. Amy Gonyea, office staff as well as maintenance crew has always been on top of things in an expeditious manner. I highly recommend renting with a Sela property.

I have rented from Sela investments for over 8 years. I have been completly satisfied with the customer service and the apartment unit itself. The staff is responsive and I have told many of my friends and family about Selainvestments. I would not hesitate to use there services again.
