Review for Southwind Apartments

They will do anything to keep your deposit and still have not sent me what is left over from my deposit to me. The carpet was a disaster when I moved in and needed replacing. I added a few stains to it and they had the nerve to charge me over 100 dollars for carpet that needed to be tore out in the first place

Noise level is horrible here. I was living downstairs and working at night and I swear my upstairs neighbor had a trampoline in their apartment as it was constant banging during the day and even at night. Also the residents are very rude. I did not meet any nice residents at this apartment.

The office staff is horrible and has no idea what is going on. I wanted to renew my lease for 6 months because I did not want to go through all the hassle of moving all my stuff. So I walked up to the office to renew my lease and they told me "don't worry about we will give you a new lease to sign and everything just continue to pay your current rent." I did and waited a week and no lease. Went up to the office told them about it they said again "We will get it to you soon as possible". Another week went by same thing. I said screw it and just kept paying my old rent without a new lease. 5 MONTHS LATER. I pay my rent and get a letter saying I am late and I owe them 45 more dollars (the cost of not having a lease). I went into the office and explained to them and they had no sympathy and acted like it was my fault for them not giving me a new lease when I asked for it. It took them 5 months to catch this and then had no memory of the events. THEN they reported me late as I just found out when applying for a new rental.
Those are just a few of the horrible problems I had with this apartment and I will not rent from them or their affiliates again and I am still trying to get my deposit back. I advise you stay away from this rental and go find a better one.
