Apartment Reviews for Mansion Apartments - Independence

I have lived at The Mansion for 5 years and absolutely love it. I have had a few maintenance issues and they immediately come and take care of it. In the winter time I have seen the manager and others in the office out helping the maitenance crew shoveling snow. I do think the apartments could use a little bit of updating but overall the staff is great and the grounds are beautiful, I do not plan on moving anytime soon.

I wonder if the same assistant manager is still occupying a chair in the office and on the back porch stairs? They were off the chain when I lived at that place and sounds like nothing has changed. Very true to not let the looks fool you. The office staff will turn anyone off. The same story just a different day/year. This office is pathetic! :(

I was not impressed with the Mansions at all. The apartment was very old on the inside. The exhaust system is not very effective, and causes for a lot of airborne "sicknesses" in the homes. I like the area, great place to commute, but the staff there is just too arrogant and unprofessional. I have made sure to tell everyone in the military community to not rent here.

The staff is great, but these people expect perfection. They have 550 units. That is a lot of property and they take very good care of everything. For all you people that just rag on the place, think about this. You have to do what your lease says. people making comments about late fees and blah blah aren't acting like adults. you sign a lease anywhere you go that will be the case. there are no exceptions because of the fact that if you do it for one person then you have to do it for everyone. then evenyone will be late on rent. you get 3 days to pay so i don't see why people talk about this place like it's dirt. This is the nicest apartment complex in Indep, mo.

Well I actually love living here. I feel very safe and the appearance is very nice. Maintenance usually doesn't take but a day or two to come and fix something, which actually happens alot. Things are not put together well so there is always something that needs fixed! But what really gets me about this place is the office staff. They are so rude and stuck up. I am a good tenant to have, paying rent on time and keeping my apartment well. I have given them no reason but they treat me like crap. I despise having to call into the office because they act like I am such a bother for any little thing. For example I called in because when it rains I am unable to get into my apartment without stepping in a puddle of mud. Something needs to be done about the stones or the stairs, but when I call she acted as if I were stupid for asking about this and then proceeded to tell me I could fix this if I wanted to!! WHY would I rent if I have to take care of these problems myself! My lease is coming up and my main problem in deciding whether to renew or not is the staff. I hope these ladies boss reads this.
