Dominic for a while was running JB out of apartment 510 JBs phone number is 816-572-0737 ; now he is running a young female crack dealer, her number is 913-231-4287 , she is also a prostitute, 20 dollar blow jobs etc. Dominic paces the front of the building frequently, he is the guy that looks like he is stuck in the early jive 80's. Dominic is also a snitch, professionally. Thats how he makes his money and helps the dope dealers that work out of his place supplied. He is a quality guy... If you think of renting here, be sure to ask the landlord about this character.

Bottom line. You get what you pay for. It's a great place to live if you are a student or on a fixed income. Crime? What Crime? I believe people exagerate way to much. I've lived here for 3 years and have not had any problems. As for the folks on the sidewalk. It's a sidewalk, a public domain. Cant help that the building was placed right next to the street. Furthermore, if you dont like living here, simply try your luck somewhere else. No hard feelings. But keep in mind that stuff happens no matter where you are. Nowhere is safe folks so wake up to reality and the real world and count your blessings that something hasnt happened to you yet.IE a car wreck, shooting, drowning, or a bad illness.

The Alps is a beautiful 1920's historic building. There are great residents that live here as well and many of them will bend over backwards to help one another. I have seen nothing but great things from this building and I have lived here for 15 years

When you move from an apartment that you were happy with for whatever reason, do you take the time to get on these sites to say great things about the apartment building and staff you are leaving or are you to concerned with getting settled in your new place. I've noticed that most all of the negative postings on here are posted by deadbeats that were evicted or driven out for whatever reason and they feel they are getting back at the building by posting slanderous and malicious statements on websites like this. I have managed The Alps for nearly 4 years and anyone is welcome to come speak to ANY of my current tenants to get a true rating on this building. Don't be mislead by idiots that are so unhappy with themselves they feel the need to make everyone around them look bad.

I think it's sad when someone is put out for whatever reason decides to blame others such as the owner, manager, or maintenance for their problems. I have lived here for over 10 years and plan on staying. The building is owned by a man that treasures the historic value of the building and the current manager has it looking better than ever. Don't be fooled by a disgruntled former tenant trying to get back at management for being evicted.
