Metropolitan great place to live staff is awesome manhattan has trash everywhere no staff like the Metro does outside has not been well kept. Snow is never shoveled in the winter has really gone down hill, not good management and the front desk workers are rude. Too many college loud parties, lazy pet owners make it stink no one cleans up after there dog. Horrible staff, customer sevice, and walls are too thin hated living at the manhattan just a copy of the real thing

Before I begin, I will say that I am an actual tenant of The Metropolitan, unlike some of the other 'reviews' that have been posted.
I want to start by saying that I am absolutely satisfied with my entire experience here at The Metropolitan. They have friendly and professional office staff and also at the concierge desk, who greet you by your name. Thus far I have not had any security issues, and I feel very safe. Luckily the building is not in the middle of downtown, but more on the edge. So this limits homeless people just hanging around as you commonly see at the core of downtown. I enjoy the 2 minute drive to Cossintino's Market, which offers the traditional grocery store, plus wine selections, pre-made meals and more.

As far as noise... umm there is none.. other than people walking in the hall way, maybe on their phone. Other than that it is very peaceful. Additionally, the community is very friendly here. Everyone seems to talk to one another. I feel very welcomed here. As far as my unit, the layout is fine, I don't care for the bathroom layout, as it reminds me of a hotel, but I can live with it. It's only me living here afterall. A negative is that even with the heating/cooling units off in the room, it still heats up during the day. I think it is because of the energy efficient windows, which keeps heat in from the sun, so I don't know that I can necessarily blaim the building. I am having some issues with hot water in the bathroom area, but then again, I have not yet called maintenance on the issue, so we'll see how it goes.

Like I said, I am very satisfied, and would recommend The Metropolitan to anyone looking for an urban lifestyle, yet away from the characteristics involved with living in the core of downtown.

I read both reviews and I live at the Manhattan and have for almost two years. The Metropolitan was devasted when the Manhattan was built. The finishings are apartment grade and the amenities were awful and the condos cost more at the Metropolitan. We were so happy and felt bad for the purchasers next door. I do think they have made an attempt to upgrade the penthouse pool, and now I think the prices had to drop as they were no longer close to competitive. The front desk also was pretty pathetic as they don't monitor the door and even make you feel like a guest when you finally do enter the building. So as far as commenting that the previous commenter was bias because they might live at the Manhattan, they probably do and looked at the Metropolitan. It still means that the Metropolitan stinks! The Manhattan is an incredible and luxurious place to live and it feels like a 5 star hotel to come home too!
