I have lived at the Ethans for the last 7 weeks. I already hate living here and regret my decision. I was told before I moved in that the breezeways and porch would be swept and powerwashed (as they were covered with leaves, dirt, spiderwebs, and bugs of all sorts). I have put in a work order everyday since I have lived here and it is STILL not taken care of. When I spoke with the maintence manager Rick, he told me I was not a priority. A paying tenant is not a priority?? In addition, the women in the office give me attitude as if me asking to have this done is so unreasonable when I was told it would be done before I moved in. DO NO LIVE HERE!! THEY ALL SUCK AT THEIR JOBS!!

I have lived in four different apartments. I lived at Wild Oak in Liberty/Kansas City. They were snobs and treated their residents like crap. I lived out of town in another apartment and they were never around. The third place I lived was Quail Run, now know as the Reserve at Barry. I had to break my lease there because there was a meth leb a floor below me.

The Ethans apartments have always taken good care of me. The maintenence staff is promt and always gets everything fixed right. The office staff is friendly, everyone is allowed to have off days, I have caught them on an off day. Typically they are friendly. The man that works in the office is kind of mean though, we try to avoid him.

The grounds are well kept, the workout room on the far back needs some TLC but it's still better than paying a gym membership. The pools could use updating.

We took an "older Model" apartment, and we cannot tell the difference. It was in great shape when we moved in. We love it and we're not leaving until we buy a house.

This was my first time in an apartment. I looked a several before I chose. I had no real troubles here. The staff was always friendly and helpful, even when I wasn't at my best. I have read the other reviews, and there was nothing in them that was specifically a problem caused by The Ethans. They are things that can happen anywhere. My car was never broken into here. But it was at the 54th street grill, right in front of the place while I was eating dinner in broad daylight. I felt relatively safe here, having come from the country, no place in town feels completely safe to me. I looked at an apartment that boasted of having police patrols three times a day, I took that to mean they needed the strong police presence. The wooded areas around that make The Ethans so peaceful and pretty are going to have an annoying side (the cats) But I was quite happy here and actually sorry to leave. For the most part, you get out of things what you put in, if you are going to whine about things that are beyond managments control, they may not always be happy to see you, but even when there were problems, I always felt fairly treated. the neighbors were never a problem and I never had to park so far away that I felt angry (couldn't we all use a little more excercise)

2 year good experience. Yes, blacks, Asians are allowed!! My daughter is Asian, neighbors were black, no problems of a racial nature. Windows aren't tightly sealed, no storm windows, can be drafty. Rent on west side of building to avoid strong breezes if in an exposed or high elevated building. Outdoor stairs often icy and slick in winter. They need more handrails in areas. Overall good experience, roomy living areas. Quiet living for most part. Excercise room isn't much unless updated in past 6 months.

having just read the last few reviews-imagine that it's hard for someone to stay professional when people are saying such things to them. cork screw and a midol? perhaps you need those items to help you relax...but i digress, this place is very nice, i have lived here for about 1 year, don't let these false reviews fool you, people are angry everywhere you go-it's not the apartment's fault that you are unhappy with your life. if you want a great price and a beautiful apartment, this is the place-i have enjoyed myself so far and plan to stay at least another year.
