Apartment Review for Marlborough Trails

I am, or was, in the process of trying to move in this place. I haven't moved in, as of yet, and good thing. First when I was looking at apartments there was a 1200 dollar off move in special, now there isn't. I went to apply with my roommates and no one told us that apparantly the move-in special had expired two days beforehand. They didn't tell us that our specific unit has a different floorplan then the other ones (someone is still living in the unit, so we weren't able to do a walk-through). They wanted a 1400 dollar dog deposit for a ten pound dog. The manager called me AFTER we put down a THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR security deposit to hold the unit, threatening me to 'get my stuff together' and have all of the paperwork ready over a month before our move in date (long wait because nothing else was available that didn't have "new" carpets...), or he would give it to someone else, because others were interested. EVEN THOUGH, a security deposit is SUPPOSED to HOLD THE UNIT FOR 30 DAYS. <P>
I complained in an email to 'Pam,' however i have not received a response. They are not really concerned with their prospective tenants. Horrible customer service, when they actually in the office to answer the phone or email you back. <P>
Now i fear we've wasted 130 dollars in application fees. Make sure you have ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK DONE IN ONE DAY. And don't automatically assume that a security deposit is a 'secure' anything. <P>
Oh and the offers they throw at you will 'expire' so conveniently when you actually go to move in. Make sure YOU ask them, because they won't take it upon themselves to make sure everyone is making informed decisions. <P>
