Rented: From 2007 To 2009

The only good thing about Old Monterey is the prices. As a student, I needed a cheaper place to stay. The apartments are fairly nice but almost all of my neighbors are loud and continue to party late into the night,almost every night. I stated my problem to all staff members, including the manager, and they blew it off. Therefore, I have learned to sleep wearing earplugs. I live mostly by men who stand out on their balconies and yell obscenities at me when I step outside the door. I have had many problems with the condition of the apartment including foundation cracks causing water to leak in, clogged pipes, leaking faucets, and the faulty locks on the door. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone; I do not feel safe here. Spend a bit more money if you have it and find a better place.
