Don't Be Fooled - Avoid At All Costs

These apartments have some very nice touches and I can't make any complaints about the detail that has been put in them. My issue with this place was SAFETY. I paid for a "gated" parking spot, completely not worth it. Trust me, there is a reason that there are plywood boards, painted black, that extend the top of the metal parking lot fence across the street from these apartments. My car was broken into 2 times in 2 months. They finally put a bright light, a camera, and those boards up to try and deter the criminals. You simply are not safe. And the grocery store in this area is ridiculous. I was peddled for money at least half of my visits there. Don't let the Central West End location fool you, these apartments, its location, and all the downsides they come with are simply not worth it. Move to Clayton.

Seeing as the above comment is over a year old, it is in DIRE NEED of an update. Yes, there are cameras, well lighted areas and combination locks which I see as a GOOD thing in any neighborhood these days.
I'm by no means an old timer as a resident here but have had NO concerns about SAFETY. I have been to the grocery store MANY times as well. There are usually little pockets of housing in most neighborhoods that one stays away from but all in all, I find the Central West End has a LOT to offer!
Sarah Abeckerle, leasing consultant here at Gallery Apts, is very helpful and I'm sure would be happy to address any concerns about safety to anyone considering living here. Best, Joe P.
