Beautiful first impression. Affordable. Blah blah blah. please do not be fooled by the lieing P.O.S. Management. They are AWFUL to say the least. The following is what I sent to the Better Business Bureau and mind me this has a little more detail. Not much but I could no joke send hours typing up the details. There were MANY other incidents. Here are just a few:
Initially we wanted to move in Aug. 1, 2010; however, I had to do all of the follow-up leg work by calling about my application status, to finding out the move in date etc. The management hardly ever returns phone calls unless it is something they want from you. If you are looking for help do not expect to hear back. We ended up moving in Aug 13, 2010 after being given two different move in dates prior that did not work out because "the apartment was not ready." Issues with management did not improve from there out. They gave us the wrong floor plan and told us we could move into the one we put the deposit on in October after it was available. By Sept we realized there were mold issues with the building and our apartment. After fighting from Sept to Dec., they finally agreed to move us into the new building. After the move I did not have any issues with them until about a week before I had to let them know if I was going to re-sign or not otherwise the lease would automatically re-sign. At this point I was happy with the place and told them I would re-sign. A few days later, management began calling me saying my apartment was receiving several noise complaints from the previous night; however, Neither my roommate nor I was there. This continued two more days and magically a hole in the wall between the second and third floor landing which management blamed us for. Not only would be not listen to my alibi,he argued with me about his false facts. And each time he called or we spoke, his story changed and did not match up with the first. He said each surrounding neighbor complained, and another time he said every single apartment in that building complained and another time he said someone saw someone leave my apartment, punch the hole in the wall and go back inside to my apartment. The next time I spoke with him he said that the person saw them leave my apartment, punch the hole and then continue to leave. Each accusation astounded me because WE WERE NOT AT THE APARTMENT THIS WEEKEND. Ironically, because of the false accusations we both made the decision not to stay at the apartment the entire weekend when this occurred. After these incidents I had changed my mind about staying and chose to give them my 30 day notice. During each discussion the young male manager, Michael, was extremely rude, interrupted me any chance he could. He did not listen to anything I had to say and actually yelled at me over the phone several times. We agreed on a move out date and that I would be prorated. I knew he wanted to just get me out of the apartment so he could rent it to someone else at a higher price and I went to his office and calmly expressed this concern with him. At this point I just wanted out and did not want to argue or deal with him anymore. It has been two months and I have yet to receive my deposit or prorate. He has told me twice that he mailed the deposit check and has not.
not to mention I had bugs in the apartment all the time and i was on the 3rd floor an did not keep windows or doors open. The kids across the hall from us constantly screamed at the top of their lungs day and night. They had issues removing snow. Not to mention the pool and office/workout facility was suppose to be done "no later than march," when I moved in. that was pushed back to May, and then June and then indefinitely. The owner/management make one promise after another and they do not keep ANY of them unless you fight your butt off and then fight some more.
It is very sad that the management was the ultimate reason i moved out because i really like the apartment overall. It was just not even close to worth it to deal with them for another year. There is something definitely sketchy about this complex. If you currently live there, I would recommend to get out as soon as you can, and if you are considering to move it I would highly, HIGHLY suggest otherwise.
