Apartment Reviews for Tudor Heights Apartments
Horrible to Horrific

I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in this complex and had no problems. My roommate at the time and I had to move last minute and they worked with us amazingly. My roommate and I decided to go our separate ways and I decided to stay in the complex and move into a 1 bedroom apartment. That is when my problems began.
From the day, I moved in things began to go wrong. I stepped into my apartment with dead maggots and flies in my fridge, a broken fan and light above my stove, a missing drawer, a missing screen on my balcony, lights not working, front door split and the molding around the door shattered, etc...not a good first impression. However, I stayed calm and they promised me I would get a new fridge and they would fix the problems I found. The "new" fridge that I received had mold in the freezer. When I called to ask for something to happen, because I wasn't going to be the one taking care of that, they snapped back at me and interrupted me until I snapped back to get my point across. Maintenance came out and scrubbed it, but the entire time complaining about how it's not "their job." The screen door took about 2 and a half weeks to get put on, even though I was told 4 different days that it would be put on that same day I called. Once again, maintenance came to put the door on, complaining about how it is winter and I don't really need it and shouldn't be using it. They had a point, it was winter. But, like the report said, my stove and oven produced smoke so much because of whatever they used to clean it and I couldn't get it off that I had to open my balcony door so my smoke detector would shut off. I have a cat, I need the screen door.
Problems continually spiraled out of control, maintenance is still unreliable and I am literally counting down the days until I can move out.
I was also told that since I didn't have to pay a pet fee at my previous 2 bedroom apartment, it would transfer to my new apartment. Only to get a letter saying that I owed money for my pet fee. I had tried contacting the property manager several times, several different ways only to hear the property manager would call back. I never received a call back. Finally after about a month and a half, I got a hold of the property manager. I was told that it's not the property managers fault that they didn't get the messages, they had no record of me calling, it is therefore my problem. Maybe the property manager should try getting new employees that know how to make sure they gets the message, but that's just my opinion.
While the property manager claimed to try to "easy my frustration" they continually interrupted me (causing more frustration) and ensured me that I was mistake, I was wrong. The property manager NEVER apologized. The property manager NEVER took the responsibility for anything, it was all MY fault.
To top it all off, it is winter, it snows in Omaha, NE. I have given maintenance a week to clear the sidewalk...it never got cleared. I very nicely called and asked if we could please get someone to come and shovel or put down ice melt because it is a sheet of ice since it had thawed and refrozen several times. The response I received was "We might be able to do that. I'll call [maintenance employee] and see if he wants to come out here today to do that." Since when do employees have a choice to do their jobs? I wish I had that luxury.
Like I said, I had a wonderful experience here in my two bedroom apartment. Maybe they treat two bedroom units differently than one bedroom units. It is really unfortunate to have such a high opinion of a company and have to get to such a low opinion like what I have now.
I do NOT recommend this apartment to ANYONE looking for an apartment!
