Happy Here...Not moving!

I was one of the first few tenants and I'm pleased! Its brand new construction. New everything, they honestly didn't cut corners with a single thing. Even the smallest apartments are pretty spacious. My kitchen has a window, which is a rare find in an apartment and the bathrooms are large!

The location is GREAT, but some might disagree. I'm happy being so close to Boulder City, Hoover Dam & Lake Mead (about 18 miles from the strip). Grocery and major stores are VERY close. The area is quiet. Sometimes a train in the area comes through a couple days a week (or not at all), but it only happens late afternoon-7pm or so.

There really isn't a garbage or litter "issue". Sometimes people don't clean up after themselves, but the complex should not be blamed. I have complained to management in the past about cigarette butts left everywhere by neighbors and they actually cleaned it up within 1 day. I appreciated it, but hope they said something too.

If someone has a problem, the staff will rise to the occasion. I know there was a big problem with how the entrance doors were installed on all or most of the apartments....they left a gap underneath so maintenance is in the process of fixing each door. It did take them a long time to fix it, but I more or less understand and when they did fix mine, they were very thorough. All of the maintenance people are nice. They also offer a bug service for anyone who needs it weekly or monthly. We use it once for our balcony during the summers (crickets) and never have an issue again.

My only complaint is the pool areas. They have one large pool behind the clubhouse/main office that's kept up nicely, they have wicker lounge chairs with cushions, cabanas, lots of tables, but some broken umbrellas from all the wind we get.
Then there's another pool area that has the absolute bare minimum! Hot, metal chairs that you can't sit on in the summer. 2 tables, one of which is broken (more than likely because tenants constantly move it to the back, by the bathrooms) and 1 umbrella that doesn't open. That pool is closed all day at least once a week and the one time I went to use the bathroom, there was marijuana residue all over the floor and filling the garbage. I never went back to that pool again!

The BBQ area (off of the main pool) has nothing but broken glass tables that have been that way since before January....I'm surprised no one has replaced them or the one in the smaller pool. I don't go in this area so it personally doesn't bother me, but there is glass on the ground and that's pretty dangerous.

Overall, if you're smart, you know you won't find better than this place. I don't have to worry about any dirty people who lived here before me, construction in the area, the rent is one of the best in the area (las vegas included!), I have yet to find a complex with BIG pools and the area is dead quiet.
