This apartment complex started out ok. I moved from texas with my husband and we thought the place looked really nice on the outside. It was a little small (504 sq ft for $550/month)but it would work. Then the nightmare started. My husband and I were both attending college full time shortly after we moved in. So, our apartment got a bit messy, not trashed but messy. I was working 50 hrs/week plus going to school full time and only had weekends to clean. I came home one day to find a notice on our door saying that pest control was tomorrow and i needed to get my cat out of the house so they could spray. I asked them if they could give me more notice because I didn't
have relatives in town or a place to out my cat and they told me to lock him in a carrier all day. Ever since they have barged in without asking (oh they knocked once) and sprayed every month, causing breathing problems with my cats. I have been there a year and have always been early with the rent but i have been placed on the sanitation list 2x for making on of the maintenance guys mad at me about the pest control. IF i get on it again (which i'm sure he's put me on) I cannot renew my lease. I've never had roaches in my house, no ants, no bugs at all. I've had maybe 3 spiders in the whole year. Obviously i keep my house clean. When we tried to move up to a 2 bedroom apartment we were told that it wouldn't be a good idea and generally told we weren't welcome. Other tenants in this complex skip out on rent in the middle of the night (4 so far). The windows are so thin you can hear your neighbors walking around and breathing outside. The power/water goes off at least once a month. The appliances are pathetically old. My stove broke a month after we got here. Maintenace is awesome with the exception of a few jerks but they're kind of slow. It took me a year to get a toilet seat replaced (the screws fell out). The apartments overall are small, trashy, with window units for AC and heat (very expensive to run), and just generally bad. I want out of here as soon as possilbe. We've had drug deals take place in front of roaming security, my husband's car was broken into, and children run everywhere yelling and cursing. I LIKE kids and they still drive me crazy. I've been told by security that if i didn't chain my motorcycle to a pole i could pretty much expect to wake up one day and find it gone. When it came time to renew were were told 2 months ahead of our renewal date that we had a month to renew (with a raised price up to $649/month) or it would go up hundreds of dollars. This place is a trap, ok if you don't mind cheap and crappy, but I've been told by many (more informed) locals that i was rippped off and should have shopped around a bit more
