The big problem is the resident manager, Debbie G.
Aside from the fact that she ignores repair orders and never returns calls, I started to worry about her after I had been here about 7 months. In February 07, I saw her talking to a group of junior hight school age kids who were outside the complex standing on the sidewalk. They were doing absolutely nothing and were not even acting obnoxiously. Debbie suddenly yelled out to one of them, "You little bitch, get off my sidewalk!", as if she herself owned the public sidewalk completely outside of the complex.
I didn't report it to the management company because I figured that as long as that kind of behavior was not directed at me, then I wasn't going to bother with it.
Then one day a few months later Debby noticed a pit that my kids had dug by my door. The grounds here are pretty ratty, and there are a lot of bald spots in the gravel, so it's definitely not as if they were digging up new grass. But she got in my face and started yelling (I'm not making this up!) and accusing me of Destruction of Property! She ran off to get her polaroid and actually came back and took a picture of the pit.
I called the management company the next day and told them about the incident and the pictures, and they took care of it and I never heard about it again after that. I told them I had filled the pit, and it had taken me five minutes with a spoon and a plastic cup to do the job. Debbie never even suggested just filling it, and I think she was in such a hurry to get a picture because she knew it would just take me a minute to fill it completely.
On another occasion, I think it was May 07, she gave me a notice of apartement inspection to occur at 10:00 am the next morning. By chance, I was home to pick up my mail in the early afternoon, and I witnessed her direct the maintenance person to enter my apartment a full 4 hours after the scheduled time. In her mind, the 24 hour notice for an inspection to take place at a particular time was in fact a day pass into my apartment. She once told me she had been at this property for 5 years. I can't even imagine how a veteran manager could do something as stupid as that. Just popping in like that is totally disrespecting peoples' privacy as well as creating a potentially very hazardous situation.
The first two people I dealt with at Pinnacle (I have driven there and met with peope in person several times were incredibly sensitive and responsive. The second two were just trying as hard as possible to brush me off and convince me that these pretty serious abuses were just my problem and that I was not to visit the office anymore.
The management company is called Pinnacle.
I've met at least one other resident who would and did describe Debbie as aggressive and vindictive. I can tell you myself that she is the worst combination of mean and stupid I have ever had to deal with personally. I have heard that a lot of people move out of here to the property immediately south of here. You might want to consider that one before here.
