Apartment Reviews for Desert Shadows - Las Vegas

During my tenure 2009-2011 I had nothing but praise for the staff and new management. The attitude and professionalsm of all their employees made living there very enjoyable and made me feel at home and highly recommend this complex .

I disagree with some of the reviews about the office/staff never being available. They are in there every day except sundays until about 6pm and they don't even take their lunches at the same time so someone has always been there to help me during business hours. The guy (Bill) is very pleasant and helpful, and I assume the same about the 2 women but haven't talked to them much except a passing "hello." I love the amenities (pool, hot tub, grounds, covered parking, free wifi) although the weight room is small and not much selection. There are some nights where people will be out partying very late at the pool but for the most part it is not a huge issue. I have only been here a few months, but my overall experience has been positive so far.

We are current tenants and have lived here over 3 yrs now. We very much agree with the previous rating comment, we use to really love this place, but yes lately it seems that things have gone downhill we have neighbors that are awake till the wee hours probably on drugs or selling..the place looks really ghetto especially the first Bldg security does not seem to be noticeable at all and management is becoming unfriendly especially the new lady..only thing good so far is maintenance can always count on Oscar to get things done..dont think well be renewing again...

Me and my wife moved here a few days ago and we love it. The office staff offers the best customer service I have ever received. We recently lost our home and had to rent an apartment. We choose Desert Shadows for 2 reasons, the staff and the apartment itself. The girls in the office are kind, helpful and always smiling. Maintenance is really fast on getting any issues we have done. We have a pet and the place is great for our pets. The place is very clean. We love it and we told all of our friends and people we work with at the Wynn.

We've been here for two years and are now signing for another year. Don't buy into anything bad that people say about the Management. The management is wonderful! Kristy, Tanya and Dee are absolutely great. If you give the management an attitude, you may get one back, so be nice to them and they will be terrific to you. If you don't understand something that simple, you should probably continue living in your Mom's basement. Maintenance is top notch. If you need something done, it's done right the first time, with 24 hours or less. The pool and hot tub are great and open 24/7. Everyone in this complex (especially in the Summertime) really gets to know each other and we all have a lot of fun cooking out and relaxing by the pool. We've looked at many apartments in Las Vegas and I wouldn't pick another one, even if it were $500 less a month. I wouldn't trade Desert Shadows for anything....and NO...I DO NOT work here. I just love where I live.

Desert Shadows is a great place to live, it is conveniently located in the city. The apartments are spacious, clean, and plush with amenities.

Desert Shadows is a Place I would without a doubt recommend to anyone. Anyone who is looking for a place they can call home. I have been a resident at Desert Shadows for over 8 months now and up to this day am very satisfied with the decision I made into moving here. What really made it key into deciding the move was first, location. Everything from supermarkets, shopping malls, parks, schools, hospital, and even the Las Vegas Strip in only within minutes of a distance. Second the fact that it is a gated community makes it feel safe. The apartment complex is new and has all modern fixtures along with all stainless steel appliances. The staff here are very friendly. The landscape around Desert Shadows is also very beautiful as well.

The apartments are beautiful and they always keeps great care of the plants and grass. The people are friendly and there's not a lot of noise.

I have lived here for over a year now. The property is great inside and out. Inside my apartment is very upgraded and the floor plan is way cute. The staff is great! Kristi, Tanya & Denique always have a smile and go above and beyond to make this place a great place to live. The maintenance guys are fast at completing the work orders and the property is always trash free. There is a young crowd here and all the other residents are cool. I have a lot of fun at the pool! It is in a great location and I think everyone should live here!

This is a great place to live. Timely maintanence and repairs. Frienly informative office staff, reasonable rent and beautifully kept grounds.

I lived at Desert Shadows for 6 months, and I had no complaints whatsoever. Anytime you would report a maintenance problem on the website, they'd be at your apartment the very next day repairing whatever it was that needed to be repaired. The apartments are very nice and spacious. The pool and fitness center are 24 hours which was great for my time schedule. Security was always walking around so I felt safe. The only thing that was a bad choice on our part was to live on the 3rd floor. Do not want to attempt that in Vegas heat during the summer!

the apartments are new, which is a good thing, but since they are so new the staff that manages it, at times it seems as if they have no clue of what they are doing. dont even think about being one day late on rent, thats when **** breaks loose, they send you to go see a lawyer and there is outrageous fees added for you being late one day. since the apartments are brand new there has been things that are not finished in them, so they have to fix them, at times you have to make several requests before some one will show, and then they blame you for things missing since day one... hahaha, the requests need to be done online, you cant not just call them and tell them what is going on, so if you are planning to move here make sure you have internet service...they ar';//e funny, cant wait til my lease is over.

There is new management here since the last few months, and there has been a huge turn around in how great this place is. Maint is better, the property is very clean, dogs cleaned up after, and the Manager is wonderful and caring. I won't be leaving any time soon!

I have lived here since this place opened and I have loved it from the start. The fitness room is great so I don't need a gym membership anymore. I haven't had any problems with the staff of any other neighbors like most other place I have lived in Vegas. Compared to most places in Vegas, this place is way better because it is new and there aren't too many kids.
