this place is way too expensive. $800 for a 1 bedroom 1 bath apt and $tons.00 for a 2 bedroom. it is very quiet here, and doesnt look too bad from the outside..the apartment is spacious and the hardwood floors are nice but...there are these huge spiders EVERYWHERE. there are cracks in the walls inside the apts that they come out of. EWW! the windows look like they are from 1915 and do not have working locks. dont bother calling mainentence, or the leasing office for help. they wont answer you or help you with your problems. they are extremely nice when you go to look at the apt and all that, but after the deal is done they get super weird and stupid. some apartments do not have screens on the windows. mine happens to be one of those. i only have one screen out of the 5 windows i have.. cant open the windows because..MORE SPIDERS WILL COME IN! oh and gross gnats come out of the drains. i constantly everyday clean my apt spotless to keep out the creepy bugs. there is no parking. you can only park on the street out front of the apt for 3 hours tops or you get a ticket. no parking on any street in haddonfield after midnight or you get a ticket. you can park at the patco lot they tell you...but what they dont tell you is that you can only park there from 7pm to 5am. you wont find that out until you are ready to move in. see they give you this blue form with the keys to your apt. which you are supposed to take to the police station to get your permit to park in the Patco lot. when you get there the police are all flustered about how the leasing company has to stop lying to their new tenants and lectures you forever about parking. you if your car isnt out by 5 am it gets towed. there is a "laundry room" in the dark creepy basement.. but there are only 4 washers and 4 dryers that the whole **** place has to share. the machines dont take money. they give you a card that goes into the machine that you have to refill yourself, which is understandable but you have to refill it on this thing in the basement that only accepts the most perfect unwrinkled bills in the world. and EVERYONE and their grandmother is always doing laundry and there are never any machines open when i am able to do mine. and i wouldnt go down there at after dark.. there is no lighting and some creepy dude lives down there. seriously. maintence will not call you back when you need something, but they go into your apt whenever they feel like it.. conveniently when your not home. they dont give warning, they just put these "do not disturb" type things on your door handle outside to let you know they are in there in case you come home and catch them. if you want a telephone line move somewhere else..because the wiring in the complex is all screwed up and you wont be able to get service unless you pay the telephone company yourself to fix it, which would cost a small fortune. you cant take your rent to the leasing office. you have to mail it every month to another office in north jersey. you HAVE to send it certified mail or they will say they never got it. so add $5.00 to you rent to cover that. all that said..yeah its a good safe area but it is freaking boring. your lucky if you can find a place open after 10pm. not even wawa is open late. i have to travel cities away just to go to a convenience store at like 10:30pm. if youre old and like bugs or if your planning on making a horror film hey this is your place.. but if not, find somewhere else. <P>
