NEW Property Owner & Staff ( over a year ago )

Reviewed by: Anonymous
There are many wonderful things that I can say about DEER CREEK Apartments, but one word that comes to mind is EFFICIENT!
The new property manager and staff are WELL-ORGANIZED and COMPETENT in all they do!
Not only is the maintenance staff on top of things, but readily available at all hours of the night!
Since their turn around in December of 2009, new maintenance staff has been placed, allowing DEER CREEK apartments to set the highest standard for their tenants living conditions. The grounds are keep immaculate, the staff greets you with a smile, and the available amenities keep the neighbors together as a true community should be!

THE OFFICE STAFF IS HORRIBLE 2 DAYS BEFORE MOVING IN I WAS INFORMED OF A "MOVE IN" FEE WHICH WAS NEVER DISCUSSED WITH ANYONE. I WAS SENDING MY SON FROM PGH TO DO AN INTERN AND HAD NO WAY OF LOOKING AT THE APARTMENT OTHER THAN ON LINE WHICH BY THE WAY BOGUS PICS. AFTER HE MOVED IN HE HAD TO CALL MAINTAINANCE 8 TIMES BECAUSE OF THE WATER HEATER THAT WAS BROKEN, THERE WAS ALSO MOLD ON THE WINDOWS. WHEN I SPOKE TO THE MANAGER(SO SHE CALLS HERSELF) WHEN IT CAME TIME TO MOVE NAOMI CALLED ME AND ASKED IF THE LEASE WILL BE RENEWED WHICH I SAID NO AT NO POINT DID SHE ADVISE ME A WRITTEN 60 DAYS NOTICE HAD TO BE GIVEN ISNT THAT WHAT A LEASE IS FOR? I WAS TOLD READ MY LEASE ITS RIGHT THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE. SO IF YOUR PLANNING ON MOVING TO THE GARDEN STATE HOPE YOU HAVE BROAD SHOULDERS TO ACCEPT THE RUDE, UNKIND, ABUSIVE PEOPLE THAT ACCOMPANY IT.
SINCERLY

If you're looking for a place in Plainsboro, you might have read the reviews of Fox Run -- one of Deer Creek's sister-complexes -- and been scared off. But I moved into Deer Creek a couple of months ago and have found it to be a great place. It's quiet (even though my flat is on the ground floor, which is usually the louder floor to live on) and clean, the rates & fees are quite reasonable (especially compared to other places in the Princeton area!), and the people in the management and maintenance departments are very helpful and friendly, particularly if you treat them like human beings rather than slaves. Deer Creek's pet-rent fees are very reasonable, the pools & tennis courts are nice, and the laundry facilities actually work, unlike a lot of places I've been. Security has been no problem, either. Every place has its problems, and I'm sure I'll encounter some headaches at some point, but so far I really like it here.
