Great Place ( 03/06/2013 )

We lived there for three months after being displaced by Hurricane Sandy and were heartbroken to leave. We needed to leave our home in the Rockaways immediately and although we applied to other developments in the community, Park Square was the only one that approved our application right away! In addition, they only asked for a small deposit and we had the keys the same day we viewed the unit. Nyline and the staff made us feel right at home and I especially liked the events that she had for the tenants - I've never seen anything like that in New York City. The tenants we saw all seem to be very nice! Of course, there were some setbacks(thin walls, tenants running with their dogs through the apartment - "GOOD DOG, BAD OWNER!"), but that's part of the "new construction building" territory. We hope to return someday ... even sooner if Sandy wants to have any of her friends visit us this hurricane season! Thanks Park Square for making a horrible situation bearable!

These apartments are great...We lived in a 2 bedroom apartment for one year until we had to relocate...They are new and had nice appliances and was in a convenient location..5minutes walk for the train station and there are groceries, restaurants, library, recreational club, post office, YMCA and what not, all in walking distance which was great for my toddler... And the management is nice and a very professional and helpful supervisor ...We loved this apartment and highly recommend this place

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I agree with all the reviews below.
The apartments themselves -- The apartments are well maintained, very conveniently located and comfortable. There is a great common room with wifi and tv, and it is well kept too. Primary drawback is the lack of the ability to 'buzz' guests in from within the apartment - this to me is really weird. There is the occasional noise from the train and the consistent noise from construction outside, but I am forgiving of those as long as the living conditions are good.
The management -- Extremely rude. Does not get things done. At all. I have been very dissatisfied with the office manager and her ability to resolve tenant situations. The rent she stated was verbal and different from the notices we kept receiving. Also any minor situations that need resolution do not get resolved promptly. In addition you are subjected to EXTREME rudeness by the office manager. The good news is hopefully you do not have to deal with her too much after you move in. It is sorry that such a well-built apartment has a office manager that is so difficult to deal with.
All in all -- decent place if you want to live near the station in a good apartment (with occasional displeasure on the side)

The two comments left so far are extremely accurate and still hold true almost one year after they have been posted. Park Square has beautiful apartments and are nearly across the street from the train station which is extremely convenient, even despite the train noise. The apartments are top of the line and definitely worth the markup in rent when compared to other rentals in the Rahway area. The super is extremely attentive and responsive. He is professional and gets the job done effectively and efficiently. The office manager, is a whole different story. She is not only extremely unprofessional, but rude. From the simplest tasks such as signing a lease, confirming move in dates, any and all tasks that pertain to her job seem to be asking her to go above and beyond. She acts as though she is doing you a favor when in reality you are the customer, a paying customer. Avoid dealing with her any costs. If you plan on moving to Park Square come durning their weekend hours and you' re sure to have a much better experience, as the office manager on the weekend is great. It's unfortunate that such a beautiful building us probably losing business due to their office manager. Nilyne, is not only costing Park Square revenue but tenants peace of mind. Overall, great apartments, great location, horrible office manager. Just hope you only have to deal with her once, when signing your lease, and never again.
