Our Review for Allegro At Tanoan Apartments

Allegro at Tanoan Apartments, located in view of South Sandia Park, provides a quiet and safe gated community for all of its residents. The complex is also within walking distance of both a grocery store and a dry cleaners. Available facilities include a fitness center and storage space. Apartments come furnished and include fireplaces and balconies. Some tenants have complained of maintenance issues, but no more than most other locales. Our opinion is that Allegro at Tanoan provides a good value for its well-kept grounds and convenient location.

After 30 years of teaching, I moved to ABQ to be near family. I looked a 6 different complexes. None compared to Allegro. I’ve lived here since 2004. I love my attached garage, view of the Sandias, mirrored wall in the dinning room. My one bedroom also has a built in computer desk. I've never had problems with any management or maintenance issues. All repairs have be completed within a 48 hour time frame. During the time that I've live here, I've had 4-5 different managers. The present management team have kept the property in the best condition. We have new furniture around the pool, some charcoal grills and table were also added in 2 locations. I feel safe walking my dog here late at night. We have the convenience of a grocery store, nail salon, dry cleaner within walking distance. If you continue straight up Academy to High Desert, there are great walking trails and even a trail head.

I am also on the 3rd floor so no noise problems for me either, and the view IS awesome. The office isn't scamming, it is standard practice - but the women are pretty rude most of the time... and maintenance does the best they can. However, you obviously haven't lived here long if you have never seen the cops here. The people downstairs scream and yell and she came running out of the house 3 times since halloween yelling for help -police came to my door to ask me to make a statement and MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO last month as was my friend/neighbors in the very next building last year - his laptop was stolen and a backpack and they broke his window. also police came to break up two guys fighting by the mailbox. (plus 2 different cops used to live here) In the last 2 months there has been more dog **** on the ground than in the last 2 years because of the new guy on the bottom floor. The gate has actually been broken for the last 3 days (fixed today) because they are still busy fixing the broken pipes from the freezing weather where they shut off the water to the WHOLE COMPLEX so I had no heat or water for 6 days! UGH The landscape is well maintained. not always well lit where I am at night. one light is out now on my stairs for about 3 weeks, but I still feel pretty safe walking around at night. The pool is clean but the hot tub has been empty more days than it has worked in the last 2 years. Decent apartments, but I am just being honest... but man you are right!!! the parking sucks because of those people who take up 2 spots!

the location in my opinion is the best in the city, that is the best part of this community.. Apts are nice but a bit over-priced because of the location...Service is ok and the business of running the complex is generally okay.... 2 weeks ago there was extreme weather, very unusual for this area, where additional preparation, decision-making, attention to tenants needs, costs, expediting a plan of action and quick implementation of resolution were not in place...Instead tenants got ridiculous memo's.. promises that made no sense, the first two days of the storm of the 3-man maintenance crew,, 2 were not seen or heard from and 1 was out of the country.. This resulted in snow turning to ice on 2nd and 3rd floor steps, Back exit blockage, and impossible driving conditions in and out of the complex... My suggestion is that you move in around July......

This has been the best place i've ever lived. I'm on the 3rd floor, so no noise complaint. The view is awesome, the staff is professional and has been very kind to me. There is no scamming, and it's clear to understand the lease unless you're an idiot. I've never seen the cops here, not once. The maintenance is superb, the phone at the office is always answered, cars don't get broken into, people don't blare their music, there isn't dog **** on the grass, the units are BEAUTIFUL and huge, the gate isn't breaking all the time, you don't have people loitering around, the landscaping is done regularly, the pool is usually empty of annoying people and always clean, you feel safe walking around at night, the whole place is really well lit, there is a preferred employer list...best apts ever. I have one complaint. Somebody that lives in my building douche-parks, and sometimes it's hard to find parking if you come in really late at night. Not bad though, I usually find one at the next building at least.

My wife and I moved to the Allegro from the northeast and were welcomed with open arms by the staff. The complex is clean, well maintained and the views are spectacular -- mountains one way, city lights the other way. Our apartment is airy, has high ceilings, fireplace, walk in closets and a deck with a million dollar view. The surroundings are incredible -- a basin/de facto nature preserve in the back and shops close by. We love it and feel so well taken care of by the very professional and kind management.
