Apartment Review for Mesa Del Oso

We have lived at Mesa Del Oso from 1/2007 to 12/2007, and are very happy. The fenced back yard is great for dogs, and the staff are very dog-friendly. You can even bring your dog by the office for a treat!!! You will hear dogs barking as you walk by, but I've never heard any outside noise from within the apartment. I guess the small amount of barking just comforts me that people aren't going to get uptight if my dog barks once in a while.

There are cockroaches, but few and far between as long as you have the apartment sprayed monthly. We haven't had any problems with non-responsiveness to spray or maintenance requests.

The exterior is very well kept, and I feel very safe here (and I'm a big chicken =)). The interior is aging, so the appliances and fixtures are on the old side, but it is so worth it for the fenced yard and dog-friendly atmosphere.

The thing I am most impressed with is the professionalism and friendliness of the office staff. Lavina (the property manager) is very very accommodating, and allowed us to move in at the last minute, and did all of our paperwork twice to enable our move-in. They're also being very accommodating with our move-out date (we built a house). They even know our names (and the name of our dog!) when we go to the office, and which apartment we live in, and it's not a small place!

Overall, we've been happy here. An especially great place for dogs!!
