I JUST WANTED TO WRITE A REVIEW FOR THE PLACE I LIVE. USUALLY WHEN WE GOT TO THE RATING PLACES ON THE INTERNET EVERYTHING IS NEGATIVE AND HARD TO FIND SOMETHING POSITIVE. I MOVED IN IN DECEMBER 09 AND SO FAR HAS BEEN PLEASENTLY HAPPY. OUR GATES NOW CLOSE AND HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY BREAK IN AT ALL. THEIR IS ALWAYS PARKING AND CONSIDERING WE ARE LOCATED BY UNM AND A "STUDENT" COMPLEX ITS VERY QUIET AND SAFE. AND WHENEVER I CALL FOR A MAINTENACE ISSUE WELL THE ONE TIME I CALLED IT WAS FIXED THE NEXT DAY! AND THE STAFF ALWAYS LOOKS SO NICE AND EASY TO TALK TO. OUR COMPLEX LOOKS LIKE A COMMUNITY AND EVERYONE HERE IS SO NICE. I LIKE IT AND WILL STAY ANOTHER YEAR IF I DONT HAVE TO LEAVE THE STATE.
Thank you to the helpful people at Sun VIllage

Management and office workers are rude and they don't care about the people that live at Sun Village! I felt welcomed by the people I least expected, which were the female and male courtesy patrol at the front as you enter. They were very helpful and they made me feel safe. They told me that if I needed anything to contact them.

Nasty corporate apt! all Linens included..a joke..the bed linens contained body fluids and nasty hair. My other linens included One towel and a wash cloth..I was under the impression by the leasing agent it would be the same as like an extended stay for short term rental..the dishes were all stained and nasty. dead bugs, ashes on the floor, where it was not cleaned. dried urine on the toilet and floor. The trash bins would stay full, to the point of major overflow. It was loud and noisy. the room included basic telephone service..which didn't work for 10days and multiple complaints later..no security-came home to find two service guys from 2 different companies in my apartment unsupervised-one stated they just handed me a key at the front desk..scary huh? As a nurse I was appauld after driving 560 miles to this location. I do not recommend. they kept my deposits, and said I owed 250 additional dollars for not giving sufficient notice to vaccate..I refused to pay and will..the pictures I have are disgusting.

This apartment complex is great if you're a student rooming with another. It's not very large, but it's larger than a dorm with twice the amenities. The management service is very sweet and security has gotten even tighter after the murder incident. As for the car break-ins, it was because people had a personal vendetta against the tenant. It is close to UNM and has a shuttle to and from the campus every half hour. I would recommend this apartment to any student looking for a decent place to live.

i've lived here for a year. locks on laundry room are messed up, tennis courts are cracked, my hot water acts funny sometimes. they've promised new locks a year ago, nothing, hot water hasn't been fixed either. BBQ grills sometimes don't work, and are dirty, inconvenient. However, these are inconveniences that don't affect me that often, and other things outweigh the cons. very quiet, nice grounds, I feel very safe. If I have a small repair job in the apartment, it gets taken care of usually the same day. Staff has improved. No insects but i'm on the top floor. Design is very nice but small.
