Apartment Reviews for The Courtyards - Albuquerque

I've lived at The Courtyards since 2001 (it is now April 2007), and continue to live here because of the excellent security and overall excellence of all aspects of the complex. Security is great, patrolled well during the hours the office is closed, and residents have a number to call for security when needed, and the very rare times I've had to call have had immediate response. All members of the office staff are friendly, responsive to needs, and seem committed to quality resident care. Maintenance is fast and thorough, with regularly scheduled pest control, heating/AC checks/upkeep, repair or replacement of appliances/plumbling/whatever as needed. The grounds are landscaped, with regular landscape maintenance. The only area which I would rate as less than good is the number of handicapped parking spaces, which is way too low for the number of residents who live here. Other than that, The Courtyards is an excellent place to live where my family feels secure and comfortable. Our apartment is a 2-bedroom/1 bath (though they have other sizes as well), and is roomy enough to be very comfortable in. The condition of the exterior is well maintained and cleaned, and long-time residents here take pride in keeping it clean. The only time I've ever had any complaints about living here are the rare times when a new resident(s) moves in above or across from me and is the type of resident who treats the building and apartment complex like it was their personal party pad or dumping grounds... and in those very rare cases, management is quick to listen to and act on complaints regarding those. All their actions have proven that management here is committed to having residents who are higher quality and care about being good neighbors in the complex and keeping the grounds and apartments clean and safe. The previous rater who stated that staff was rude, place littered with dog feces, etc., was very obviously one of those who received an eviction due to this, because the place he/she describes is an exact opposite of this complex. This is a clean, well-maintained, secure apartment complex with accommodations for singles as well as family (there is a playground area), with onsite modern laundry facilities, pool, barbecue areas, and more. I don't know much about the playground areas, as my husband and I don't have children that use them, but I do know they're there and kept clean, as I see them being cleaned often. There has been a change in management in the past few months, but I have had occasion to speak and deal with various staff members during this time, and found them as committed to excellent resident care as the previous management, and I have just this past month signed a new 12-month lease on my apartment because of my continued satisfaction here. <P>
